Snowdonia National Park is 15 miles away. Coed y Brenin mountain biking centre near Dolgellau is also 15 miles. Aberdyfi and Ynys Las sandy beaches are both 19 miles away.

The nearest train station is Machynlleth, approximately 7 miles from the cabin. From there you will need to arrange a taxi or hire a car to complete the journey to Cemmaes.
