Sunny Cottage Reviews

We had a great stay in Sunny Cottage. The owner souldn't have been more welcoming when we arrived and would, I am sure, have been there for us had we needed to contact them during our stay. The cottage is very well appointed and was spotlessly clean. Thank you for a great holiday
Property and host were first class. Items not considered mentioned in your sales booking information. 1. Property within 15 mts of a very busy very noisy very fast road. At 200 am it was like being next to an airport runway. 2. No safe pedestrian route from the property. No recognised footpath on such a busy fast road. There is a large grass area within the site which was available to walk our dog early mornings and late evenings. We would not consider this property again for these two reasons. We have stayed with Sykes before and had similar issues, vehicle access to a property. Whereby some less confident drivers would have struggled to cope with the narrow and steepness of the access exit road. Such issues should be conveyed in any property description. Our experience with Sykes does make us dubious.
Richard
Absolutely great! Comfortable, well laid out, clean and with good facilities plus a most friendly, welcoming, helpful and considerate owner. One of the best we have stayed in. Highly recommended.
Gillian
Warm welcome from the owner very informative. Would visit again.
It is a lovely cottage with great views to the rear. The road to the front can be a little noisy first thing in the morning but not a great problem. The cottage is purpose built and is in good condition with most mod cons. The two ensuites to the bedrooms are a bonus. The cottage is in a good location to visit many lovely Welsh towns. Hay on Wye Market is a must and Talfarth is quaint and small but has an amazing butcherdeli and greengrocersgeneral convenience store. I would highly recommend a stay and would return.
The property was very comfortable to stay in And had everything you needed. View of the Black Mountains was impressive. The owners live on site and were there to greet us and make us welcome. Would return again.
Kathleen
Beautiful setting but next to very noisy road, day and night. Very few extras! One j cloth for all possible cleaning and washing up, no small supplies of salt, pepper, sugar etc which we usually find in your properties. Helpful owner when we asked but they were away for first 2 days. Very little local info except walks, none on shops and eating out. Disappointing but the night sky was brilliant!
Owners of the property were very helpful and friendly. Cottage had wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. We would certainly visit again.
Barbara
Sunny Cottage was just that we sat on the patio in the sun, looking over the Black Mountains and fields with sheep and their lambs, reading a book and drinking a cup of tea it was a bit early for wine! Lots of interesting places to go nearby. Cottage very clean and the owner was friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunny Cottage, the cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The location was excellent and the views from the cottage were beautiful. We highly recommend Sunny cottage and will definitely return.
