Gwel y Bryn is a historic stone cottage in Corris, Powys, sitting in the heart of mid-Wales near Machynlleth. Originally two quarrymen's cottages, it sleeps six and comes packed with original period features including a wood burner on a traditional slate hearth. Views from the elevated deck stretch across the surrounding hills with a glimpse of Cader Idris peak.

This is walking and mountain biking country. Dyfi Bike Park 650 acres of trails is five minutes away. Coed y Brenin with 100km of mountain biking trails is 20 minutes up the road. The RSPB Ynys-Hir Nature Reserve is 13 miles away. Secure bike storage on site and mountain bike hire with delivery to the cottage is available locally.

Three bedrooms sleep six: two doubles and one twin. The well-equipped kitchen-diner has a dual-fuel range with six rings, two ovens, grill and microwave. One large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower plus a ground floor WC.

Machynlleth (6.6 miles) has the Owain Glynd?r Centre, Old Parliament House, MOMA Wales and Britain's oldest street market. The Dyfi Osprey Project is 10 miles away. Talyllyn Steam Railway is in nearby Tywyn.
