Blaen Henllan Reviews

Gorgeous cottage, amazing views and a lovely location. From the moment we drove down the drive we knew we had made the right choice. The cottage is stunning, cozy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you would need. The views are the best we have seen and we have seen a lot. The brownies and milk were a welcome surprise. The owners which my dad had the pleasure of meeting have thought of everything. It was nice to just relax next to the fire or sit outside with a cuppa admiring the view and listening to the sheep. Willow the dog loved being able to run around the field. We would highly recommend this cottage 100. Cannot wait to return next year with more of the family.
Comfortable, spacious house in a beautiful setting.

A superb holiday home. We had the best holiday. The views were amazing and being out in the countryside was wonderful. Could not fault at all.
Loved the cottage, in a beautiful place views were stunning, grandkids loved how much space to play & the swing & slide was an added bonus. Lovely & clean everything we needed was there.
The views are absolutely stunning. However, since our last stay two years ago, we did feel it was a bit tired and just correcting some issues would resolve it. For example one lounge curtain was ripped and all curtains need more hooks. The duvet cover in the main bedroom was ripped. The bunk mattresses need replacing as you can feel the metal. The fridge is too small for a large family and needs replacing as it doesnt keep food cold it was over working and icing up at the back because the bottom seal was hanging off. The bathroom in the ensuite needs an overhauldeep clean as the shower tray doesnt drain well and could lead to flooding. Just before we left, we found a takeaway dish with food in it under the sofa. There were only 3 teaspoons in the kitchen drawer. Mismatched glasses. We unfortunately broke one wine glass but did replace with four new ones. Its such a shame as its a lovely house in a wonderful peaceful setting. This is meant to be constructive feedback and some of these things can easily be sorted out at low costminimal work which would make future clients experience better.

Super property in a fabulous location. Really appreciated the milk and Welsh cakes that greeted us on arrival. Such a thoughtful gesture. The property was presented to a good standard perhaps a little tired but generally very nice. The wooden toilet seat in downstairs loo needs attention. Definitely hope to return next year.
Such a gorgeous view and so peaceful. We had a lovely stay. Nice big house, warm and friendly with a lovely fenced area at the front. So nice just to sit outside listening to the cows and sheep.
The entire stay was wonderful. From the picturesque location down to the wonderfully comfortable home. It was a joy to be in such a gorgeous area of natural beauty and not worry about the home. It was well tended, surprisingly stocked with extras in the kitchen, warm and welcoming, comfortable and clean. It catered for everything we needed.

We had a lovely time at the property and had everything we needed. There were 2 families and there was plenty of space for us all and the dogs. The kitchen was well equipped as was the house. The surroundings were beautiful, we will definitely recommend this property to other people.
Amazing location with great views and very quiet & picturesque
The location of the cottage remote and quiet was suburb, with views to match much of the time. Being able to walk from the property onto the moors was great. The cottage was very comfortable, warm and well equipped. The owner was very quick to respond when we had an issue with the TV. Highly recommended.
Second visit to the property. We love the location, and had a good holiday but unfortunately we found the cleanliness of the cottage was not as before. I leave these as constructive comments for Tim and Ruth The doorshandles felt stickygreasy. The oven temperature was not controllable. Any temperature below 200 was way off the mark needs a new thermostat. Try it..put it on 180 and see what happens.. took 2.5 hours to cook a chicken.. The shower in the ensuite needs changing really tired and mouldplaster falling off round the outside bottom of tray The curtains in the lounge and front bedrooms are missing curtain rings and they therefore do not close properly The wall lights in the lounge are missing bulbs non available to replace Mattresses in both double beds are tired..they are no longer supportive The welcome book is oldout of date and dirty Fridge shelves in door are missing broken I just feel after 6 years renting the property its perhaps time to replace and spruce up... As I say I offer the above as helpful comments, I feel sure customers may feel the same, but not take the time to feed back.. Kind regards
Claire
We had the best stay at Blaen Henllan , we are a family of 4 adults 5 children ... We had the best stay at Blaen Henllan , we are a family of 4 adults 5 children and our boxer dog , the house was perfect for us , the land and views were spectacular, we did wish we had booked for a week and not 4 nights , we will definitely book again , and would recommend, thank you Tim for such a beautiful stay
The only thing missing was a wooden spoon to cook with! !! It was undoubtedly one of the best properties that I have ever rented. Both the house and it's situation were perfect. So much thought and care have been put into this venture and it shows.I would highly recommend this delightful house as the perfect holiday home.

The property is spacious, in a lovely remote area of the countryside. Some local market towns close by with some nice walking routes on your doorstep. The property itself has everything you'd need for a family of 46 but anymore would be cramped. The house is a bit 'tired' and could do with a few modern upgrades if housing a younger family. Upon entering each upstairs room was swarming with flies which wasn't ideal. The boiler in the garage makes a lot of of a noise at night so pretty difficult to sleep if you're staying directly above it in the bunk room. Also didn't appreciate the cleaners wake up call calling me at 7am on the check out day just to see if they could come earlier than the agreed 10am time. All in all a 510 but a few changes could easily of been nicer.
Richard
Lovely clean comfortable home from home holiday cottage. Amazed at the walks from the door but with a lame dog we were sadly limited with our walks. The bonus was having a field in front of the cottage where we could exercise our dog. We had a nice relaxing break and am hoping to return to explore the area. Thank you Tim and Ruth.
Another lovely stay at Blaen Henllan. Such a beautiful setting to get away and relax and enjoy the countryside. The dogs loved it too!
The location of this cottage, is fantastic. Uninterrupted views, and plenty of walks from the door. Fully dog friendly, clean and well equipped. The cottage is enclosed around property, so dogs are secure. Everything on hand for a super holiday. We loved it so much we have booked again for next year! We contacted Tim the owner as we needed a frying pan, and he popped round the next day with two new ones, and also a hose to clean the dogs with after our day walks. 5 to Tim and Ruth on creating a haven for frazzled customers!
Robert
Lovely property in a beautiful location. Plenty of space and everything we needed to get away for a few days and would definitely like to stay here again at some point. Only minor gripes were a few dirty plates in the kitchen draw, a bit of mould below the ensuite shower, a few stiff locks, and the outside light at the front not working. Nothing to inconvenience us or put us off returning though.
Another lovely stay at Blaen Henllan. It was my 50th birthday and what a beautiful setting to celebrate with my family. Cant wait to go again
Perhaps a better frying pan and saucepan lid handles were broken. Apart from that we enjoyed our week at Blaen Henllan.
Tracey
We really enjoyed our holiday at this cottage it was perfect. Upon entering we felt comfortable. It was secluded which is what we like and bigger than expected, plenty of room for us, 6 adults 2 children and 2 dogs. If peace and quiet is what you're after this is the place to be. I would highly recommend Blaen Henllan for your holiday in Mid Wales.
This property was wonderful and spacious. We just loved the remoteness and quietness of the farmhouse and the views were stunning! Very well equipped property. We had a couple of small issues and Tim was very attentive. Just up the road, are the locallycalled hills which are lovely to walk up and see the views for miles. We will be back!!
Our stay was perfect, my partner and I and our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to come and visit again. The house was warm and cosy and perfect for the 7 of us and our 2 dogs. Everything we needed was included such as towels, bedding, tea, sugar coffee ect. Tim was incredible in supporting us through the snow and breakdown of our truck. Without his support alone we would of never been able to get back to our home. His generosity and care alone made our trip to wales beyond worthwhile, which made us feel more at home then anywhere else weve stayed. The house has the most beautiful views and perfect escape for the dogs, on lead or off lead especially for dogs who need lots of run around room. Everyone within my family had everything they needed and we couldnt of wished for a better holiday. Could not recommend Tim and his home enough.

We love the stay in the cottages. Beautiful remote spot to completely switch off from the outside world.
Really lovely cottage, cozy warm and clean.
Really enjoyed our stay at Blaen Henllan. Lovely cottage and scenery!
Another lovely stay at Blaen Henllan. Its the perfect place to destress and relax and the dogs love it too
Amazing house in amazing location, perfect for two families, 2 dogs & toddler. Comfortable home, peace & quiet & great views. Enjoyed exploring local villages & walking the many footpaths around the property, always welcomed in pubs even with very wet dogs.
ia-trinidad
We loved the house and the peacefulness. A bit of a tight squeeze up the road leading to the property, so go carefully! The living space was really comfortable as were the bedrooms. I think the property is better than the photos show. Even in the kitchen, there was plenty of room for everyone because of the open plan style. One of the best properties weve stayed in. The only things that might need attention are the toilet seats which were coming loose, I would have liked a few more pots and pans and the metal gate was broken which would have kept the front garden enclosed. Needless to say we would still love to return, hopefully with a full party as, sadly, some couldnt make it last minute .
A Beautiful cottage set up in the Welsh mountains, you could have heard a pin drop on the next crest it was so peaceful and quiet there. Weve just had a lovely week away combining 3 families for a relaxing holiday, we loved it!
Kirsty
Very Lucky to own such a wonderfully located property. It was like home from home. Loved the old oven and the log burner, made you think about how self sufficient one could be. The enclosed area around the house was fantastic for the dog, he was able to roam around freely without any concerns. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay and we hope to return.
This is an amazing house, plenty of room. There were 7 adults staying and we didnt get in each others way at all. As in previous comments, the only issue are the sofas. They are in need of some TLC.
A very nice stay in a spacious farmhouse. Ideal for several families holidaying together. The quiet and peace of this location is wonderful. The farmhouse is nicely decorated and furnished for all needs. Lovely bed linen and towels. Very comfortable. Their are plenty of toys, books and games on the bookshelves. Our only quibble would be the sofas in the lounge need refreshing. Great place to stay. Will be back in May!
Another lovely stay at Blaen Henllan. You can feel all the stresses of work disappear as soon as you drive through the gates. Such beautiful, peaceful surrounding. We were sorry to leave
Great stay as usual. Perfect place to relax.
Theresa
Despite awful weather, we had a wonderful stay. The house and location are fantastic with enclosed space and lots of walks for the dogs to enjoy. Would recommend and look forward to returning.
We stayed here for 5 nights in January with our 2 Labradors and cant really fault it in any way. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the grounds and surrounding area are amazing our dogs were in heaven. It was a welcome break from the daily grind of work and weve already booked to go back for a week. 1010
