Ysgubor Fachwen Reviews

A lovely and relaxing place to stay if youre looking for peace and quiet. Listening to the Tawny owls at night was amazing. The accommodation is well set out and has everything needed for a relaxing break including some lovely treats from the owners.
Perfect get away from it all location. Beautiful barn conversion with off road parking and a small enclosed rear garden with patio area overlooking lovely Wales countryside. Well equipped, clean and spacious accomodations.
Ovely property in a picturesque location, but would not book through Sykes again due to them refusing to correct a mistake on a phone booking within hours of it being made. There was an issue with the water not getting hot which the owner sorted quickly. We appreciated the eggs and chocolate provided for us on arrival. A couple of things from the listing that weren't quite accurate the bigger bed is a double not a king. Ordinarily this wouldn't matter to many but as we cosleep with our baby, this did make for some poor sleep for us. The smaller beds put together also doesn't make a superking. The beds are narrower than standard singles. The garden is not truly enclosed as there are gaps under the fences which our cockapoo managed to get under. The flies were a nuisance and we appreciated the traps and fly spray but couldn't use the latter with a baby and an asthmatic in the property. Nets on the windows might be a good idea. We would have liked to have the windows and doors open and buffets were unfortunately a nogo. The property was really clean. I'd suggest opting for less washing powder as the fragrance on the towels and bedding was very strong. More info on things like where to take the recycling and general waste would also be handy. We did have a lovely time and the owner was very helpful, especially bringing us the baby booster seat that Sykes had failed to ask them for on our behalf.

What a beautiful space! Everything spotlessly clean. Nice kitchen and sitting room and dining area. Lovely cosy bedrooms and comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The views out of the back are just stunning! We loved sitting out listening to the birds and we really enjoyed watching the farmer heard the sheep. I would recommend guests bringing some citronella as the flies are a bit of a pest at this time of year, with it being in a rural setting, particularly if having a BBQ. We wouldnt hesitate to come back and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Lovely spacious, comfortable & ver clean cottage. Nice welcome pack was appreciated. Basically has everything you needed, though felt like small quantities of cutlerycrockery etc compared to other places weve stayed. No saltpepperoils type extra's etc. & no hand soaps anywhere that would have made it more homely & tipped the stay to 5. Having said that we would definitely be very happy stay again in future . Thanks again
Alison
Lovely property, comfortable sofas and beds and nice and warm. Everything we needed. Wonderful views of farmland and sheep.
Lovely property and exactly as described. We had a great stay. Thank you
Christopher
A lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful and quiet location. A great place to stay and come back to relax after a day exploring the region. It would benefit from a few more essentials in the kitchen, bakingroasting trays for example, but otherwise well equipped for cooking meals.
Jennifer
We found Ysgubor Fachwen perfect for our weekend away. It was clean, comfortable and we'll equipped. It was very peaceful and the views were glorious. It was very dog friendly, with a we'll fenced garden and a lovely stroll up the lane before dinner. There was also a good, tarmacced parking area.
A lovely cottage with good level of fixtures, fittings and cutlerycrockery. Smaller bedroom lacks storage but can share it in the larger bedroom so no big drama. Comfy beds, shower and bath good too. Good tarmac parking space and sensible parking from neighbouring cottages. Heating was great. Nice to see the farm activities and livestock. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Lovely place to stay, quiet and peaceful and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
Katrina
A lovely property in peaceful surroundings it was comfortable, wellequipped and very clean with a nice outdoor space too. There was plenty to do nearby, and this property was a great base for our break.
Thomas
Absolutely beautiful cottage. Everything you need. Garden is brilliant and safe for the kids to just play out. Felt very homely

We were a family of four and only stayed for 4 nights but had a lovely stay. We have stayed at different places such as this but has been one of the nicest ones weve stayed. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable and well equipped. Enjoyed the eggs came with the stay which was a lovely surprise. The only thing is the blinds in the master bedroom was not blackout one so the light in the yard shined though the bedroom in the night but other than that it was a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone.
