This was the best holiday let yet. Superb views, luxury appointed, child friendly, absolutely everything thought of. Added to that the property had an amazing barn full of games. Pool, table tennis, table football etc. Everyone of our party from grandparents to 3 under 5s had a wonderfull time.

Wow!!! What an amazing place ! We stayed with our children and grandchildren and it could not have been more perfect. The house is so well presented with high quality furniture and decoration, we loved the bean to cup coffee machine so much that we purchased the exact same one on our return. We had taken toys for the children but there was no need as there was a vast array of toys and games for children of all ages. The games room is out of this world and we all loved spending time together in the evenings . The owners have thought of everything to make the perfect holiday home, we cannot wait to return and would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful farmhouse cottage in great location. Quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable rooms. It rained a fair bit January so we settled down by the fire to read and eat comfort food.

The property is well equipped and comes across as home from home. The ease of living at Pen Bont Home Farm for a week is eased by excellent bathrooms, warm utility, downstairs toilet and back access for dogs. The beds and settees are comfortable too. The kitchen has everything including a welcomed coffee machine and plenty of wood for the fire. Hose pipes all around the property helped muddy paws. As a mixed generational family spending Christmas we had a wonderful time. There are lots of walks from the house and easy driving access to Brecon and Hay on Wye. The owners respond quickly to questions and everyone around very friendly. Some little niggles would be empty boxes of washing powder and dishwasher tablets which would be annoying but ok as we had brought our own and a few more plates and dishes wouldn't go a miss but that is being super picky. On the whole a wonderful experience, would highly recommend and would return. Thank you Pen Bont Home Farm for a wonderful Christmas !

We spent a week at Pen Bont Home Farm at the beginning of October. It really is a superb holiday home we knew from previous reviews it would be good but it really is a wonderful place! The level of comfort is something else and so much thought has been put into everything provided. We were a party of 5...my husband and I and 3 of our adult sons, plus 2 dogs. All of us really enjoyed our stay. The Games Barn is amazingour sons enjoyed using all the facilities and making it cosy in the evenings with a wood fire in the burner! A second Games Barn has been added now too! We had some lovely walks during our staythere is a pleasant short walk by the river in the fields alongside the property, plus some further afield too. There is a wealth of information provided in the cottage by Robert, the owner, who is so helpful and ready to help if needed. We will certainly hopefully return for another stay in future!

The property had everything we could possibly want for comfort, space, facilities & games. It was great to play an old traditional Northants game of Skittles again. My family of all boys 7 of us came for a walking holiday with plenty to do in the evening. We had both and even set up a competition to play all the games against each other. Brilliant!

Pen Bont Home Farm is an excellent place for a big family get together with facilities to suit all ages. The house has lots of space and the addition of the Games Barns & outdoor play area is a fabulous bonus. An ideal base to explore the wider area from too. We loved it !

We all absolutely loved our stay at Pen Bont Home Farm. We had been looking for a place big enough for 6 adults 2 children and 2 dogs which could cater for everyone's needs and we found just that here. The farmhouse itself is so beautifully renovated. We loved the large kitchen and table, this was perfect for our meals and games night. The bedrooms are perfect and the comfiest beds. And the games room, well this was probably the highlight for most of us. Enough different types of games to keep everyone entertained. Plus the tv area and log burner was perfect for a movie night. Would highly recommend this property, couldn't have picked a better location to celebrate my 40th with family.

The owners have thought of everything and with the wonderful games room, there is no reason to leave though plenty of good walking available, so we made the most of that. This place is simply stunning in a very beautiful setting, really clean, spacious, comfortable beds. There was plenty of space for everyone. Cooking on the aga was a lovely experience. The games room was a fab hit all round. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Well presented, with amazing attention to detail. This farmhouse has been thoughtfully converted into a holiday rental that exceeds expectations. Pen Bont has been equipped to a very high standard with top end appliances and carefully chosen furniture. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable but a little more storage for hanging clothes would make them perfect, but is not a deal breaker. The property was clean and tidy and well looked after. The games room is perfect for the whole family to enjoy and the views are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully return next year. Thanks to Robert for his friendliness and approachability. A telescope for the amazing nightsky would finish this property off nicely!

Wow!! What a fabulous property and pleasant host . The barn is very comfortable, well equipped, spacious and full of special little areas and interesting artefacts. The outdoor area is spacious, enclosed and there is a paddock for the dogs. The bathrooms were excellent with lovely showers, good quality and sized towels, plenty of loo roll and shower gel etc. The beds were very spacious and comfortable. There are loads of comfy seats, masses of books, games an office area. Thare are too many many positives to list them all, you have to go and see for yourselves. The Games room is extraordinary. I have never seen anything like it and probably won't again. Amazing! The weather wasn't brilliant so we spent a lot of time on there and it was superb for the whole family ranging from 1 year old to 74.So many comfy furniture throws etc. A huge TV and woodburner with plentiful supply of logs and a fridge for your drinks. So many things to do. We had such fun and the wall hangings etc make it a unique place. We will miss it for a long time. Oustanding, thank you.

The house and surrounding land was incredible, it was the perfect place to stay with friends and the dogs! To start, it was super easy to find and access, upon arrival, we found the entire house was clean, tidy and beautifully designed, it was also incredibly comfortable and felt like a home! The enclosed courtyard and fields made our life so easy with the dogs, we felt relaxed knowing they were safe running around and it was such a luxury having multiple car parking spaces too! The house had everything you would ever need and more including having the Aga lit which was fantastic, as it made cooking easy and quick, plus it was great to warm yourself up against! The only slight critique would be the house was too warm at times, but the weather was so temperamental we had really cold rain and a storm, to 15 degrees and sun March weather for you, so I cant really blame the house for that! Overall a fantastic couple of days in a beautiful location and home! Would highly recommend! Thank you!

The entire property is idyllic. Everything you could ever want is there. Its clear from the moment you drive through the gates that this property has been lovingly curated with comfort and fun in mind. The owners have managed to create a feel of home from home but with the luxury of being able switch off from the day to day home life. We stayed with friends for my husbands 40th. The location was perfect for the guys to spend a day at bike park wales whilst the rest of us set off in search of walks and waterfalls. The party barn is the perfect space for guests to be able to unwind after a day. We left our two little ones at home this time but friends brought their two year old and the set up was perfect for her as well. I secured a prime spot by the window each morning to enjoy a cup of tea and read my book whilst the sun rose over the fields. On our last morning I ventured out solo to wander the fields and watch the frosty sunrise in the crisp morning air perfect! Ive just booked this property again for next year and already cant wait to be back.

What a fantastic house & excellent host. Beautiful setting, luxury fixtures & fittings, every need catered for , for all ages from the outside park, the outside was totally enclosed & safe, the huge games room with a log fine which was a massive hit with us all, where we spent every evening. If youre looking for a family break for grandparents, children & grandchildren look no further. There is a big lounge area, snug, not forgetting the fabulous kitchen so everyone is catered for. The surrounding area offers lovely walks, nearby the Brecon canal boats where we rented a self drive boat for 8 & also an outdoor activity centre where we all spent a fun filled afternoon attempting some archery. What an amazing stay we had here! This was a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday. The house is impeccable and has EVERYTHING you need, the attention to detail is incredible, everything was organised and you had everything you needed, from spare toilet paper to printed walking routes!! The games room is an absolute staple feature to the housewe spent every evening in there with a log fire on There was lots to do for children and the little park was amazing. Beautiful farm house. Comfortable beds and the bedding is first class. The games room is so big and spent so much time in there. Comfy area in the games room to watch TV whist others play pool or table tennis. Lovely outside area with outside toilet. It would be even better with a covered area connecting the kitchen to the games room with a front door you could lock. I do think some more plates, bowls etc is needed. My grandson didn't want to leave.

We have just come home from a week at the beautiful Pen Bont home farm and it certainly didnt disappoint. We feel like the photos, although incredible dont do it justice. The house is very large and so are the grounds. Our children absolutely loved it and were never short of something to do. We will absolutely be back! Thank you Robert, for everything you did for us and the children. Youre the best!

The property and its facilities were truly excellent. We had a family celebration and there was something for everyone in the games room. The owners , Robert and Margaret Taylor , could not have been more obliging. A wonderful stay.

This house is amazing, everything has been thought of down to walking sticks, dog blankets and bike repair kit. The games room is a great place to have fun with others whatever the weather. The location is remote and peaceful we went on an 8 mike hike and saw noone! The decor is tasteful and comforting I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return.

What an absolute Gem! Cant say enough good things about the property and equally importantly the land it sits in and around. The house has been restored with great care and the attention to details shines through in every room. The documents showing the renovations shed some light on exactly how much time, effort and money went into bringing the farmhouse back to life. All of the owners fields are gated and fully accessible and theres benches down by the beautiful river where you can also take a wild dip if you feel inclined we did. Walk out the door and across the road following the pathway and youre launched into 500 acres of wild Brecon Landscape where youre free to roam, or drive 5 mins away 8th the MOD owned land and youre treated to a spectacular mountain pass. On our stay we struck out as far as New Quay to watch dolphins and also climbed Pen Y Fan on the Horseshoe Loop then took in the Waterfall Walks. Every day was made more perfect by arriving back at the Farmhouse and as youre only 1015 mins from Brecon, shops and restaurants are all in striking distance. Dont hesitate to book, you wont be disappointed and if you get the opportunity have a chat with the owners and locals, theyre great people who are warm and welcoming.

This was the best Holiday home we have all stayed in. It was amazing facilities, games room was everything you could want. TVs in most rooms so everyone had a choice. The place has been refurbished in top quality fixture and fittings. Outside space is great, 11 acres of fields to explore and the river.
