Bright, spacious, comfortable and wellequipped property. A great base for exploring Powys. Although the property is positioned on the junction of the A44 and A488, the traffic noise wasn't a dealbreaker the property is surrounded by high hedges so you can't see the traffic and we couldn't hear it at all if the windows were closed. The front and back gardens were great spaces, and the back of the property isn't overlooked. Although we didn't use the hottub, it was still cleaned daily by the owner's partner. Comfortable sunloungers have been provided. We were disappointed to discover that the pub opposite was only serving food at the we due to lack of staff, so we didn't venture out in the evenings and contented ourselves by selfcatering and watching Netflix.

This is our fifth time staying at the New Peny and we thoroughly enjoying staying here. The bungalow was clean throughout and has everything you need in the kitchen. The hot tub is great and cleaned regularly. This is the first time we had stayed over a bank holiday weekend and we found it very noisy due to the area attracting motorcyclists from all over place. This proved somewhat difficult with a twelve week baby. However from the Tuesday onwards the road outside wasnt as noticeable.

New Peny was just great. We all enjoyed the stay and the hot tub!!! We did feel that some garden furniture would have made the stay a little better.

Excellent property. One small observation in that a few outdoor chairs maybe folding and kept in the utility room would have been good as the weather was such that we would have liked to sit out in the garden. Otherwise it was great.

Lovely cottage, perfect for recharging for the weekend with our two dogs. The hot tub was enjoyed. Lovely food at the pub opposite and they fitted us in for a fabulous Sunday Lunch whilst fully booked, lovely people. I would add others have expressed concerns regarding the gap under the gates for dogs, Its not a problem, when you shut the gates you can drop down a secure panel that closes the gap not sure if others have realised this, dogs enjoyed the large garden. The cottage is on a main road and noise may affect some, but personally it didn't bother us. Would recommend Llandrindod Wells Lake to walk around with dogs, finished off with a meal upstairs in the dog friendly cafe, we had a breakfast and lunch which was lovely, also have fabulous cakes.we are on holiday, so not cooking!! There is also a Tesco for supplies. We were blessed with the heat wave so very lucky. I would have no reservation in recommending this lovely cottage to anyone, its large, clean, modern and comfortable. Perfect base for exploring the area and beyond. Thank you for a lovely stay, the welcome gift also a nice touch. We will return next time we need a recharge.

A really lovely home from home. Everything you need and really clean. Well placed to explore the area and walks for the dogs straight from the door. The only thing I can think of to add is that it would have been nice to have some reclinersdeck chairs to enjoy the lovely front garden. The hot tub was great!

A absolutely purfect bungalow for staying and enjoying! The hot tub was a.bonus and spot on brilliant! It's location was excellent for going to different places and with lots of parking for our 3 vehicle's. Cleanliness is a must for me and I can't fault it loved the layout and the tree sculpture with the owl on top is a lovely touch

We recently stayed at New Peny and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. We were greeted with a thoughtfully prepared welcome pack, which included local treats. The property was clean and tastefully decorated, offering a cozy yet spacious environment. The kitchen was wellequipped, making meal preparations a breeze, and the living areas were perfect for relaxation. The hot tub provided a perfect spot to unwind and was very private. The pub opposite had a nice, friendly atmosphere and served good food which was an added bonus.

The location of the bungalow is beautiful. Large garden and surroundings. The hot tub and area is beautiful. Log burner is great but looks like a bit of TLC needed, the concrete is stands on as well as the burner itself. In general the bungalow could do with a refresh decor wise. Kitchen is modern and spacious. Pans and trays Need replacing. Top oven very under powered and extractor fan not working. Toilet cisterns very slow to fil whilst the water pressure for showers and kitchen is fine. All that said by way of feedback, we had a great stay. However with a little TLC the bungalow could be much nicer.

Amazing bungalow that was lovely decorated over the Christmas holidays 5 of us went and 2 dogs and we loved every day the property had everything that we needed ,the hot tub was also lovely we was in there every day at least once or twice and didnt have to worry about the dogs as the garden was secure would recommend definitely we are looking to come back next year at some stage thanks again for the welcome pack also definitely needed a drink after arriving.

Just back from a lovely few days new penny is well equipped for 6 people , clean, lovely towels and bedding, garden secure for dogs and children, we all loved the hot tub and the welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Plenty to do in the area llandrindod Wells Lake and the elan Valley Close by, lots of places to eat or takeaway, nisa shop and petrol station under 5 minutes and a tesco and aldi in llandrindod Wells.

Third time we have stayed at New Peny, and it never fails to deliver. Took logs with us as we know we use the log burner regularly and there is insufficient logs provided to last our stay. The bungalow is pretty warm anyway, but we love having the wood burner on. Hot tub lovely after long walks and cleaned regularly. Lots of towels provided for the hot tub but we had taken our own anyway. Lovely pub opposite who always make us welcome. The Sunday roast carvery is the best, but make sure you book.

We had a week booked here but unfortunately day 3 of our holiday we were involved in a car crash that ultimately ruined our holiday and turned it into a holiday from hell. The highlights of our holiday were the house and facilities offered. As we were grounded to the house for 3 days trying to sort out a courtesy car we made use of the log fire and hot tub which was lovely, we enjoyed a lovely meal in the Severn Arms Hotel across the road thankfully as we had no supplies in and couldn't get out to get any due to the car issues. We had an issue with my daughters disability aid breaking whilst we were grounded but thankfully the man who runs the car garage across the road was lovely and let me borrow a screwdriver. The house was lovely, clean and spacious, in a lovely area. Great hot tub and lovely gardens but unfortunately due to the circumstances I wouldn't come back but was nothing to do with the property. The property was the highlight of our holiday.

We had a lovely stay at New Peny, the property was very spacious, nice large kitchen which accommodated 5 of us easily, very clean and everything to hand that we may have needed, hot tub was lovely to chill out in too.

We had a lovely stay at the bungalow very homely and easy access to local attractions. One thing it said in the description was the garden was enclosed by the hottub area, yes it was enclosed however the garden is a wrap around and we couldn't leave the dogs out alone as there is a large gap under the main gate which leads onto a main road which our dogs could get under. An idea might be to put a small fence up at the back of the property. Also the pictures look like the property is in the country side , but is actually on a main road which was quite noisy.

A lovely spacious property, like home from home, with all the facilities we needed to enjoy our stay. A great base for enjoying the surrounding areas, with a nice little pub over the road that has lovely views across the river. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately we did not meet the owner which we found a bit strange so we didn't know if the hottub had been checked as when we used it on the second night it wasn't as hot or full as the previous night. The cottage was lovely though and the thoughtful touches were really appreciated by us all. It is a beautiful place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at New Peny perfect bungalow to relax. Home from home everything you needed. Lovely gifts left eggs, crisps, biscuits. All essentials were in the kitchen. The hottub was marvellous and enough towels. Lovely pub across the road that does food and dog friendly. We ordered Chinese takeaway delivery to the property. Jane was lovely and invited us to go 2hrs earlier for check in and the communication was great. Would definitely book again all the family had a great break.

Children loved the hot tub which was large and under cover. Quiet location despite being next to a road. Pub is directly opposite and lovely, we ate Sunday lunch there, it was delicious. We spent Saturday in Llandrindod Wells, the lake is worth a visit and the high street was full of independent shops, really nice to see. Only slight downside was the cleanliness of the bungalow, hairfluffdebris in the kitchen drawers and cupboards in particular. There is a hoover at the property so I ended up hoovering the cutlery drawer and wiping down kitchen surfaces. Similar issue in bathroom and shower room. Once cleaned we could enjoy the rest of our stay. Would definitely return in future.

Really lovely place and just what we needed for a relaxing break after a very stressful time. Loved the log fire and the hot tub, as well as the decent sofas. The kitchen was really nice too, and it was great to have a separate space to enjoy meals and games at the large kitchen table. The only negative was beard hair on the en suite sink, and a few other areas that could have been a little cleaner, but it didn't detract from our stay. Jane was easily contactable and quick to respond and solve any issues. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place. It had that home away from home feeling. Had everything that you need. The garden was lovely and secure for the dogs. Hot tub was lovely to go into after a day out exploring and was checked everyday by the owners, but they didn't disturb you to check it but when we did see each other they were very friendly. Found a nice little layby breakfast van 4 minutes away, called the yellow snack van, which was a treat to stop at when you was up and out on a day exploring. Already looking at when we can come back and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Fabulous stay at a beautiful property. Well equipped and a perfect location for travelling to surrounding areas. If could pick one small issue would be the front gates at the drive of the property are slightly raised I understand the slope of the drive so not sure what could be used to correct but meant that we had to ensure dogs were secure on leads to not escape.
