Ty Berllan Reviews

Caroline
Our family of six stayed to celebrate a 65th birthday, picked a fabulous place to allow all of us to get together in a large house comfortably, and the added benefits of the large kitchen, games room and hot tub, all set in the beautiful welsh countryside, we did leave a list of niggles that need attention but nothing that can't be met. The gamers amongst us were frustrated to find the Air Hockey table is broken and no pucks or paddles so it was Table Tennis or Pool. Also be aware dark swimwear will bleach as chemicals in hot tub are very strong! We all had a great time and Sam was very helpful with any queries we had.

A beautiful, clean house in a peaceful environment
We again had a lovely time at Tye Berllan! ! We loved the new hot tub and the changes at the bathroom. The new fire place was a huge hit too. House is huge and cozy and we had everything. Thank you again, we will be back next Year!!
Michal
We stayed at Ty Berllan for a weekend with the whole family and really enjoyed our time there. The house is beautiful and located in a lovely, peaceful area. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The only downsides were the very creaky floors and doors on the first floor, which made it a bit difficult to sleep when someone got up during the night. Also, the hot tub seemed to have too many chemicals, so it wasnt very pleasant to stay in for long. Apart from these two minor issues, everything was perfect. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place.
Tyberllan is a beautiful house with beautiful views and has everything you can need . The description of how far away from shops pubs etc isn't accurate The house is on a really big hill so unless your super fit you will need your car for everything It's a good 30 min walk down to the pub restaurant And a really difficult walk back more like a 45 min walk back Nearest supermarket is 26 mins away There is no off lead walks for dogs Nothing to do around unless you have a car
Georgina
Was a beautiful property with picturesque scenery

Great place to stay. Lots of space inside and outside. Great place to visit different places around Mid Wales.
Beautiful house nestled in stunning Welsh countryside. Its located about a mile from the main village road on a very quiet and narrow lane. If you want a peaceful getaway break and love walking very steep in parts then this is for you. The house is airy, spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, along with games room, utility room and hot tub. During our stay we did note a few maintenance issues which we have brought to the attention of the owners. However, this would not deter us from returning in the future.
Excellent property, excellent location. Family loved the hot tub and games room. Beautiful surroundings and views Kitchen very well equipped Linen very clean and fresh
Michelle
Fabulous stay, property has everything you need for a large family holiday. The pool table and hot tub were fantastic and loved be all. The views from the property are beautiful.
Fab place to stay for family holidays. Very spacious, lovely big kitchen, kids loved the games room, dogs loved the big garden, everyone loved the hot tub. Remote location, but terrific views, which is the reward for the rather hairy drive up a steep single track road. Overall, highly recommended.
Jennie
What an amazing property. ..the secure garden for our dog was excellent. The rooms were all lovely and clean and the games room was a winner. Cannot fault this property at all and we will definitely be coming back here again
Sheila
Holiday home is lovely. Great quiet location Beds very comfy, we had a very restful stay Just a couple of things we thought could be useful, hooks in bathroom to hang your towels on, and also in downstairs cloaks. Also a mirror in the 4th bedroom would be helpful Only minor points as everything else was lovely
Dianne
Had a lovely weekend at Ty Berllan. The house was very warm and comfortable. Lots of space and great facilities. Granddaughter was in the hot tub nearly all weekend. Well recommended property for peace & quiet.
Sandra
A stunning house, plenty of space for 9 of us, beautiful views from the garden, hot tub and house. Plentiful cutlery, kitchen utensils, cookware and crockery. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Incredibly good value for money and we would love to stay here again.
Probably one of the best places we could have picked. Yes the drive up is a bit steep but what can you expect in the welsh mountains. The place was beautifully kept and the owners were so helpfull. The views were amazing and the roads to everywhere were so scenic. Seriously amazing place to go 1010 would highly recomend.

Thank you, so a beautiful place to stay
Cheryl
The property is in a beautiful location but this can not make up for the lack of maintenance and cleanliness at this property. All of the windows are blown so you cant see out of most of them because they are misted. The shower heads need attention, one fell whist my son was using it and badly cut his hand. They all need resealing and a good clean. The property overall needs maintenance and a deep clean. Worst of all is the creaking floors and noisy doors which means no one gets a peaceful nights sleep. Beautiful location with badly maintained property.
Thank you for a fantastic weekend, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Ty Berllan. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch, the owner was also very responsive before our stay. The hot tub and ping pong table was thoroughly enjoyed by us all, and the property was well equipped. Lovely locals in the village who also took us home after an afternoon at the Red Lion pub thank you . We cant wait to return in the future, thank you for having us. Only recommendation would be the property could do with some outdoor lights. Thank you again!!
Amazing location and a fantastic property but in need of maintenance and a deep clean. All showers need attentionmould and fittings. Shower head held on with cable tie. Dishwasher pull out trays need replacing. Septic tank caused drainage and smell issues as wasnt emptied before our arrival. Lovely hosts and always on hand to help and very apologetic with the issues we experienced.
Natalie
Our stay could not be faulted. We came for my other halfs 30th. The house is gorgeous with plenty of room for everyone. The host Sam is really accommodating and welcoming. The little village pub down the road welcomed us crazy northern lot with open arms and even offered to drive us back home. Hot tub wasn't working when we arrived but the host extended our day by two days and got to work as fast as she could to fix it. Definitely come again thankyou.
Great place for a relaxing break.

Hi thank you for our stay just what we wanted , beautiful place , everything we needed and more for our stay, lovely touch leaving bread milk and cake thank you, don't have any negative comments and would recommend, just a tip for future bookers, if you do have dogs the sheep are in field right next to the house, so would only recommend well behaved dogs , if i took mine he would of got through fence at them lol
Great weekend away at this property, everything ctaered for even if the weather wasnt the best. Very spacious even for nine of us. Games room was great as was the Hot Tub.
Loved the house and the location. Slightly disappointed with the lack of cooking utensils and the cleanliness of the oven other than that very pleased with the size and comfort of the property.
Louise
We had a lovely weekend! The property was amazing. The facilities were lovely! Thank you so much for having us! We would definitely return in the future!
Full 5 out of 5 overall thanks Sam. Ive also confirmed a full suite of smiley faces all round. The following is offered as feedback for consideration in maintaining that standard Include a thermal glove for the log burner its alway recommended with such hot surfaces. several of your roof gutters are blocked and downspouts disconnected needing attention before you suffer property damage. your customer expectation if from the City will be of a more reliable WiFi speed. It may be worth stating its limitations. The Horse storage adjacent to the property may benefit from more secure fencing that a little dog escaping from the property cant get through. the living room TV stand is precarious and given its a wall mounting fixture isnt stable or suitable if you had small children in the property. Its a potential danger. we missed not having any Outside furniture, assumed it was removed due to high winds. A wooden bench would be an asset for those who like sitting outside staining at the landscape. both front door and Back door lights didnt work. the Cooker extract fan doesnt extract and the lights are gone All offered to help and none a big deal for our week away. Cheers Ian
Rented this property for a weekend away with a group of 8 and it was the perfect size for us. Plenty of space and great facilities hot tub was brilliant. The views were incredible and location was perfect for country walks. There were a few things that probably could do with a repair and a more thorough clean but nothing major. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing house with stunning views of the Welsh countryside. House was well equipped and the pictures dont do the house justice. The owner is lovely, and made our stay very enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back
Stayed here 17 September for a week 5 adults 1 four year old and two dogs, absolutely nothing negative to say about the cottage, its stunning, even better in real life, its so quite there, the cottage itself it well thought out and very spacious all good size bedrooms with stunning views, the property is approached down a narrow twisty lane plenty of passing places but on the odd occasions we did meet a car its wasn't an issue, people just drive accordingly and considerately, easy enough to fine and post code takes you straight there, just close the gates when you get there and children can play on bikes on the drive or grass whilst you chill out at the outside seating area which is a lovely sun trap, then off to soak in the hot tub. few towns within a short drive including Newtown which has anything you may have forgotten as well as a great children's play area, also the beach at ynyslas and borth about an hours drive. The owners are also lovely and very helpful with tips on where to go and what to do, just ask. would defiantly book again
Lovely house in a lovely area. Highly recommend

Really great few days in a lovely spacious cottage. Beautiful surroundings, could have easily stayed much longer.
The cooker did not work properly and considering we were so far away from shops ... The cooker did not work properly and considering we were so far away from shops this was a let down the oven pans needed replacing all the coating had come off the bin in the kitchen had gone rusty and was not very clean needed replacing the toilet brushes were dirty due to covid you would of thought all of these would have been changed lack of casserole dishes for cooking in fact there wasn't any the shower upstairs turned off when water was put on downstairs the bath took over an hour even to half fill the games room was very tired bits needed replacing the photos do not portray what it looks like when you get there the garden needs to be more enclosed big gap in the hedge not only could the dog get through but also the children this went on to the road
Philip
The house was exceptionally clean and in todays world of Covid19 we felt very safe. Hot tub was great and the house had everything we needed for a relaxing week. The only criticism we had related to the quality of the cookware and crockery which could all do with a refresh.
Kathleen
We had a great holiday in this beautiful house but it was completely spoiled for me by the fact it is up a 1. 3 mile narrow dirt track which was not mentioned in your listing. My heart was in my mouth every time I'm case we met someone coming the other way...
Louise
Super accommodation for a group of 8. The children were entertained with the hot tub and games room.
