Chateau Petit Reviews

Angela
Delightful 3 night stay in this lovely shabby chic style summer house, in the heart of Powys countryside Wales. Lovely private garden surrounded us with at least 4 different seating areas to choose from, so to catch all the sunshine or moonshine!. Inside the Chateau was everything we needed, the double bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and worked well. The kitchen come living space was cozy and the French doors looking out to the decking, gave a feeling of more room. We would definitely recommend Chateau Petit and a big thank you to Lynda for a warm welcome.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chateau Petit, we got a real lookin at how gorgeous and picturesque the Welsh countryside really is and we both had a wonderful time!
The accommodation was exactly as described but in real life it was better. The outside space was superb, completely enclosed so the dog could safely run around and even in the bad weather it looked lovely. The only things to consider was that the internet connection was poor and because of the rain it was awkward to dry towels because the heating is underfloor. I mentioned these points to Lynda, the owner, so in sure she will look how to improve those areas. Other than that we had a fantastic stay.
Really lovely stay. Warm and cosy cabin lovely to return to after a local, hilly walk with the dog. Warm welcome from Linda on arival. Very quiet surroundings. We did not make it to the pub but the Trefeglwys village local is only 10 mins walk away!
We received a very warm welcome from the host. The accommodation was very well presented. I would definitely recommend.
Gillian
Small, so lovely and clean, tranquility was amazing. Linda the host was amazing, there if u need her but not intrusive. Gill and ronnie
Great property for a short getaway, loads of great walking spots nearby, would definitely return. Thanks Lynda for some fantastic recommendations and great hospitality!
Very comfortable, lovely surroundings. So we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Stayed over from Friday to Monday for my partners birthday as we wanted a relaxing weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The pictures dont do it justice and although we had unfortunate weather it was still amazing with pubs and restaurants nearby and amazing for walking our dog. Owners were really welcoming and the place was immaculately clean. Overall would recommend it to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday with amazing views.

Lovely location and everything you need for a holiday. Easy to find using the What3Words and signposts when you are close.
We had a lovely 2 night break at chateau petit Its very peaceful and relaxing, Lynda contacted us as we were driving there and helped with directions as the sat nav wanted to send us elsewhere. We took our little dog and he thoroughly enjoyed it, our daughter and family visited us for an afternoon it was lovely warm and sunny and loads of space outside for them to sit. We found the bed very comfy, and we soon got used to the small living space, the area around is stunning countryside red lion pub did lovely food just a short distance away, we would definitely go again .
Michael
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chateau Petit, situated in a beautiful part of Wales. We had a very warm welcome and loved the peaceful atmosphere, all of our basic needs were met, the dog friendly pub is just a short walk away. A great place to relax and reset.
Beautifully situated in the stunning landscape around Trefeglwys. Very quiet setting so you can totally relax. The chateau is well presented with some beautiful touches. Although the chateau is petit it is perfect for two people with well positioned outside seating areas to maximize the sun throughout the day. If the weather is inclement there is a convenient covered seating area to protect you from any rain. Evenings can be spent in front of the outside log burner and you have the option of a giant parasol to protect you from sun or rain. You will get a very warm welcome from Linda and her husband who have a wealth of knowledge of potential places to visit. Our stay there was perfect and we will definitely be returning.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Chateau Petit. You can tell the host put a lot of thought and effort into making the cottage not just beautiful, but also functional. Whenever we had a question or issue, she was readily available. The area also has all the amenities you could want, with nice places for breakfast, lunch and dinner, supermarket and hiking routes. There's also many cultural and naturelover activities within a 40 minute drive. If ever we're visiting Wales again, we would definitely come back here!
We had a brilliant time at Chateau Petit , it's small & compact but everything we needed was there. Jonty the dog loved it as there was a lot of space for him to roam in the garden. There is a field next to it that has been fenced off to the property. The bed was really comfortable . We would certainly go again.

Stay here 2 nights for a weekend away and was lovely, Lynda was very nice and welcoming! !, Was very peaceful,a few good places to have a walk and local shop and pub was great too!! Would highly recommend staying here!! Shall definitely be back for another stay sometime!!
Lovely peaceful place in beautiful surroundings nice garden and seating area very suitable if you have a dog
Rachel
We had a lovely 4nt stay. The owner is very friendly and greeted us not long after arrival to explain a few things. The property is beautiful, with a very spacious outdoor area and plenty of seating. We did find the bed very firm for our liking, and did a lot of tossing and turning. We also found it a little difficult to relax after a long day of walking due to their being armchairs and not an actual sofa. The owner did however state future plans to rectify this. Our dog absolutely loved the outdoor area, although being a small dog he did manage to squeeze his way through a gap in the fence into the owners garden in pursuit of a cat. Some chicken wire would easily solve this however. The kitchen was great for what we needed, and we enjoyed A couple of meals outdoors on the decking in the sun.

Chateau Petite is a beautiful property, the photos do not do it justice. Inside was well maintained and clean, with all the facilities that we needed. Outside was surrounded by a well maintained and spacious garden, with stunning surrounding countryside. Good location, not far from Trefeglwys and Llanidloes for local amenities. Linda the host was very helpful and friendly, always had a smile on her face. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.
Michelle
Quirky cottage! Plenty of outside seating areas and within walking distance of a pub too! Great access to Elan valley and Seaside resorts. Cosy at times but bed very comfy.Adequate kitchen only lacking a decent pair of kitchen scissors.Had to reshuffle the furniture to house dog crate but no complaints.Maybe replace the vertical blinds and replace with tied back curtain as blinds twisting and difficult to close. Linda was a lovely friendly host and we met Minnie and Honey too. Thoroughly recommend .
Mohammed
Great location had a super time. The cottage had everything we needed.
Stephen
The property was in excellent condition and well looked after. There was everything you needed for a short break. The bed was especially comfortable. I would reccommend this property.

A gorgeous hidden gem , I actually had to pinch myself every day that I was there. Stunning spot with just the sound of the birds and the stream. Beautiful accommodation with everything you would need for a superb stay. Lynda the host is lovely and very helpful, ringing me with directions prior to my arrival. Highly recommend Arthur's restaurant and the Red Lion pub for food both within a 10 minute walk. I was absolutely gutted to leave.this Beautiful place.
Chateau Petit was a lovely place to stay, it had everything we needed for our short stay. It was in a lovely location very central to what we wanted to do. Lynda was a great host, made us feel welcome and we would stay there again.
Absolutely lovely I really enjoyed my stay. Ideal location. I was on my own and made to feel very welcome. Can't rate this property highly enough.
Amelia
We had a lovely stay at Chateau Petit. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and you have everything you need in the cabin. Lynda was very helpful, welcomed us and left a bottle of Prosecco and cookies, which was a nice touch. The only minor issue is that when I booked, it said the garden is enclosed, but we were unable to let our dog free in the garden as there are gaps and low fences. But an extended lead is supplied in the cabin and this worked fine for us! We would definitely stay again.
Lovely peaceful little break. Owner is very helpful and kind. Lovely setting but didnt get to explore due to bad stormy weather but cabin was nice and warm x
The property was so inviting, and so cosy, with everything we needed, it was a lovely little break, and the owners were lovely and very friendly, we would definitely stay there again in the future. Kind Regards Terry and Katie and coco are little dog.
Me & my partner Carla had a really lovely break at the chalet. Beautiful surroundings. Really well maintained. Very clean & everything needed. Although it rained we had a great stay. Celebrated my partners 50th. Along with our dog Cookie. The local pub was a short walk & very friendly. I would most definitely recommend this place for a break. Thank you
Danielle
Cosy, comfy little lodge in a gorgeous part of the world. Chateau Petit was warm and well equipped, it was a joy to return to after a day of exploring. The local area was beautiful and the people were friendly and welcoming everywhere we visited. Great pub within walking distance. Thanks so much!
Me and my dog had a great stay! The setting was perfect for a getaway from the noise from bonfire night. I would definitely recommend this lovely little place to anyone!
Had a lovely few nights away this week 1822nd October, absolutely stunning building with plenty of needs to make your own dinner if youre not going out. The area is tranquil and peaceful, a massive thank you to Lynda for hosting us couldnt have asked for a better experience will definitely be back again.
Andrew
Lovely place to stay, did have abit of a weird smell but I think it was to do with drainage. Not much the owner could do about it! Nothing too bad though! Couldn't ask for a better host! Thankyou so much Lynda! Some lovely places to view all within 30 minutes drive and some lovely places to eat! Will be back. Kind regards, Andy Kinga
Chateau Petit is Clean, Comfortable and Very Compact. We were guided there by Lynda due to the rural vageries of sat nav which left us stranded up a mountain! Lynda was a welcoming hostess thank you Lynda and was available for help and advice during our stay. A lot of space for our dog and ourselves outside although in late September we did not make much use of this. Dogs being dogs, ours took no notice of the sign that dogs were not allowed in the bedroom, the lack of a door between bedroom and living room being an open opportunity for unwelcome pooch incursions and lack of sleep! Overall satisfied with our stay though less rain would have helped make it better!
Quirky small cabin everything you need is provided. Set at the bottom of owners garden outdoor area lovely & plenty of room for dog to run around.
Jonathan
Lovely stay at Chateau Petit. Beautiful location and a great welcome! Thanks so much!
Perfect little place for a short break. Wonderful location for switching off & relaxing. Lovely friendly hosts. Pub within easy walking distance & stunning scenery nearby. Would highly recommend.
