We had such an amazing stay at the lodge our first time in Wales and it definitely wont be our last! The place was spotless, cosy, and the hot tub was just perfect for winding down in the evenings. Being able to bring our two dogs made it even more special, and I think they loved it as much as we did theyre currently throwing a strop now were home because they miss it so much!. Everything about our stay felt relaxed and welcoming, and we cant wait to come back.

Very disappointed with the condition of the lodge, it wasn't in good repair, lights were not working on fire, mirror light in bathroom and spotlights on decking as well as lights not working in hot tub. It needs a little tlc shame as the location of the lodge is lovely and private.
We've stayed in many cabins over the years and regrettably, this is perhaps the worst we've experienced. Very poorly maintained, with the veranda rotting and very poorly repaired, cigarettes left in an outside ashtray, dog gate held on with untrimmed cable ties, hot tub with broken cover mechanism, tired and rusty patio seats, bolt not working in french door, incorrectly fitted light fitting and spongy floors.
Amanda
Lovely place to stay, We had a lovely time. Overall fab place to stay. It does need some TLC maintenance work, but this did not affect our weekend break. It did feel.a little weird being asked to strip the beds before leaving. However i would recommend this lodge to family and friends.
Christine
We really enjoyed the lodge. Only two negative things I can mention was that one of the twin beds wasn't comfortable and the tin opener provided wasn't very good. Another minor thing was the plastic jug was too big for the microwave. The lodge was comfortable and warm. The hot tub was brilliant. I would definitely go back.
Absolutely brilliant, superb location and beautiful Lodge, exceptionally clean.
Louise
On the whole the property was ok, but a few minor touches would have made it better. The hot tub was lovely but nowhere to put our towels, the steps from the lodge down to the tub were steep and a little treacherous! There was no mirror apart from the bathroom made hair drying problematic. No sharp knives for food prep apart from a bread knife. The toilet handle was loose and hanging. The bed was comfy but the mattress protector had no elasticity left so ever time you moved in the bed the sheets crumpled underneath you. It was clean and tidy, just felt a little bit tired and unloved.
Lovely cabin in beautiful surroundings. Cabin didnt feel too close to other cabins which was a definite bonus There is a baby gate on veranda which was useful as we could leave patio doors open for dogs without worrying that they would go too far. It was great to sit and have breakfast on the veranda and look out for red kites and other birds. Hot tub was lovely clean and already on when we got there & on throughout our stay. A couple of practical things There is no salt pepper olive oil there so take your own. two toilet rolls are provided but any additional you will need to take washing up liquid, cloth and sponge are there for you plus two black bin bags one towel per person is provided, so take an additional one for hot tub wifi works ok fridge is an under counter one so has a small freezer section enough for ice blocks
Rebecca
A really lovely relaxing break away, the views were beautiful, we had everything we needed and the whole place was very clean, we will be returning.
Such a beautiful location! The cabin was cozy and having the hot tub for the evenings was a bonus. We all thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will definitely be looking to book back next year.
Valerio
My family and I enjoyed a charming, private lodge nestled in lush vegetation for a week. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist, and the host maintained excellent communication throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we faced significant setbacks during our stay. We chose the property for its WiFi, but it was completely nonfunctional, impeding our remote work. The lack of signal on our mobile phones compounded the issue. Despite connectivity challenges, we relished the natural surroundings for outdoor activities. The TV didn't work either, limiting our entertainment options. We missed access to TV channels and streaming services like Netflix, which was a letdown, especially for our 16yearold daughter. One improvement we would suggest is providing essential kitchen items such as salt, pepper, and cooking oil at the property. It would have been convenient to have these basics on hand, especially when arriving after a long journey, to prepare a simple meal without the need to make a trip back into town. In summary, despite connectivity issues and the lack of kitchen basics, the lodge's beautiful location and the relaxing hot tub were the highlights of our stay.
Our stay was such an amazing beautiful experience, we loved it so much , stunning views such a peaceful place. Would definitely come back again. Thank you so much Godbless you Jade
Darren
Hi in general it was fine , just a few little things could have been better , but i understand maintenance can not be carried out during people staying. The bathroom toilet window needs a roller blind for privacy , from oher guest. The hot tub lid needs to be made easier to lift on and off . The properties patio doors not very secure , needs new bolt and bottom of door planing to make easier entry exit . The patio needs better gates to secure dog and again for exit entry . Maybe a more modern microwave . Overall it wasn't bad ,and we had good time staying and would come back . Very peaceful environment and great location for walking and outdoor activities .
Enjoyed our stay will hopefully rebook next year.
Philip
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay it was a treat to stay in a real log cabin, with a hot tub included! Very secluded with stunning views of Elan Valley. Quiet and well kept, but within a short easy drive of Rhayader. My only suggestion not a criticism would be to provide basic essentials of tea & coffee, sugar, a small milk, salt & pepper and handwash.
It was a beautiful peaceful stay at the cabin and we thoroughly enjoyed the downtime with the rolling hills and scenery we looked out on, plus the wonderful perk at having the hot tub to relax in after being out all day. If I was to be really picky then the shower wasnt brilliant, the water pressure wasnt great and kept running cold. We would definitely return and recommend to friends and family xx
Gerard
We loved our stay it was really relaxing, the accommodation was clean and great and staff are really friendly. Amazing place that wile will 100 return too. Our fur babies loved this place also lovely fields for them to play around in on site.
Michael
Wow, A lovely lodge on a well maintained site. We had a great relaxing break. The hot tub was a plus too , it was nice to relax in the tub after a day walking . We will be going back for sure.
