The Barn, Abergavenny

The Barn is a converted barn cottage near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire. It sits on the owner's grounds next to a working farm. You get rural views across to Blorenge Mountain and Sugarloaf. The property sleeps four guests across two bedrooms.

The location puts you right in walking country. Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains are close by. A footpath from the rear leads up onto Sugarloaf. The Wye Valley and Vale of Usk offer more routes. You'll find shops 3 miles away in Abergavenny and pubs within a 2-minute walk.

Inside you get an open-plan living area with leather sofa and armchairs. There's an electric fire and dining table for four. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob plus microwave and fridge-freezer. Upstairs are two bedrooms - one double and one twin. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. A ground floor cloakroom adds a second toilet. Off-road parking for multiple cars is included.

Abergavenny town centre (3 miles, 5 minutes) has a castle and museum. Crickhowell is nearby. Hay-on-Wye book town makes a good day out. Bike Park Wales is 30 minutes away.

The Barn works well for walkers and dog owners. Two pets are welcome. The enclosed garden is secure and there's a utility room for muddy boots.
