1 Penporth Reviews

Super clean and tidy
This holiday let gave us everything that we look for in a home from home , a well equipped kitchen , spacious bath shower room, comfortable bedroom with plenty of storage and a living room dinning room that worked really well for us two. We were fortunate with the weather during our stay and were able to make the most of the beautiful countryside just a short walk from the door and returning to Rhayader and its pubs and coffee tea rooms for a well earned refreshment. Looking forward to returning next year.
Such a lovely place, immaculate, warm, roomy and decorated with really nice style. Location is perfect for the towns pubs and cafes etc. The road is quiet, the parking is undercoverabsolutely outstanding!
Michael
Quite possibly the most well thought out and comfortable holiday cottage that we have ever used. All very well equipped with tasteful furnishings and decor. The heating and hot water system could not be faulted.
Claire
Beautifully presented holiday cottage, really cosy and so clean, a pleasure to stay there. Poshest parking area weve ever had at a cottage but a great addition as on road parking is very limited. We liked Rhayader and surrounding area, enough to see and do, also plenty of places to eat during the day and evening. Would definitely recommend a stay at 1 Penporth.
As we opened the front door to see the welcome sign we certainly did feel welcomed. Thoughtful basket of treats, cookies in the jar and milk in the fridge. Fans were provided but we felt lovely and cool in the livingroom despite the heatwave. The cottage is immaculate in every way. The kitchen has a lovely skylight. Comfy sofas and good smart tv. The cottage is quiet and peaceful which meant we slept well in the comfy bed. The bedrooms have plenty of storage space and a hairdryer. Spacious, modern bathroom with a good shower. Lots of nice places to eat nearby. If we stay in Rhayader again this cottage will be our first choice. Thank you Elaine.

We stayed during a heatwave and arrived to find everything we needed to relax and cool down. A lovely welcome pack and a tray of ice cubes in the freezer. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean cottage. Everything we could possibly need. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Portable fans which for which we were very grateful. Everything had been thought of for our comfort. I can't recommend this cottage highly enough. Thank you Elaine.

Number 1 Penporth is as lovely as number 2, the adjoining property, where we have stayed a number of times. The house is immaculate, beautifully decorated and has all the things you need for a perfect stay. Thoughtful touches such as cosy blankets add to the comfort and generous supplies of things like toilet rolls and cleaning materials, along with tea and coffee, biscuits and a welcome basket. The owner really has the holiday maker in her mind and, when other bookings allow, permits slightly earlier arrivals and later departures for your comfort. Id highly recommend both number 1 and number 2 we are debating whether the two double bedrooms in 1 outweigh the log burner and dishwasher in 2!
The cottage was warm, comfortable and well equipped. It was spotlessly clean. Covered parking was a bonus. Excellent wifi. Communication with the owners was excellent. Any queries were answered quickly. The property was in a quiet position. A few minutes walk to shops, fish and chips, pubs and indoor swimming pool. Ideal area for touring mid Wales. Close to Elan Valley, Aberystwyth etc. Would highly recommend a visit.

We had a lovely stay at 1 Penporth. It is very well equipped and in a great position. It is quiet but also within easy reach of shops, pubs and take aways. Elaine the owner is very friendly and helpful. But she also leaves you alone to enjoy your holiday. She is easy to contact and when we had an issue with the shower she arranged to get it sorted on the same day. It is obvious that doing things right and well is important to her. We hope to return at some point in the future.
Absolutely perfect place to stay well positioned, gorgeous cottage, with everything thats needed. Excellent, helpful host. Highly recommend!

We would highly recommend to others.
