Talarddu Cottage, Builth Wells

Beautiful holiday home and lovely hosts. The property was well equipped with everything you could possibly think of. We were met on arrival and shown around, the hosts had provided the cot and highchair as requested which made life easier. The property was lovely and clean, highly recommend.

An excellent few days with the family in a beautiful and very comfortable accommodation. The 3 floors were ideal for our 3 families with plenty of room downstairs for eating table for 9 and relaxing in the lounge. The hot tub was a massive hit not just with the 3 grandchildren. Steve the owner was extremely helpful and a good host. Very good location with easy walks and trip into Builth Wells. We will be going back

Beautiful accommodation, and lovely host, would definitely recommend a stay here. Great for family get together. Large sized bedrooms with good storage. Outside and inside facilities excellent. Great enclosed outside space for children or dogs.

We had a great time at the cottage. It was very well equipped and exactly as described. Internet and wifi were excellent. There was plenty of seating room indoors and outdoors, bedrooms were large, and the dining table and kitchen allowed us all to gather to play games. We will definitely book it again should we need such a large property.

Our stay at Talarddu Cottage exceeded our expectations. The owner, Steve, was very welcoming on our arrival. The house was spotless, beds very comfortable and everything was catered for including a welcome bottle of fizz, some Welsh cakes. Coffee, tea, sugar etc was all provided. I feel sure that we will return in the future!

Fantastic house, all the rooms are really spacious. Great house for a group of friends to get together, who love the outdoors and their creature comforts!

Very welcoming, Grocery items were left for us. The house was immaculate and very well equipped and the owner visited to explain about the hot tub. A problem with a window was sorted out immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this 'home'.

A beautiful property in a gorgeous location. We stayed here with our extended family for my Mums 60th birthday and had a great time in the beautiful enclosed garden which was perfect for small children and dogs, playing games and getting in and out of the hot tub. The house itself was beautifully clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms were all of a decent size and very comfortable, and the living spaces & kitchen were also perfect. We would definitely look to stay here again!

Talarddu cottage is an absolutely fantastic place to stay 12 of us stayed here comfortably. There were 3 generations in our group and every one had an amazing time .even though the photos of the house and grounds look great they dont do justice to how wonderful it really is .From the under cover hot tub and seating area to the fabulous grounds we enjoyed playing cricket and so many other outside games .lovely comfortable beds and furniture it was very clean and spacious a lovely welcome gift on arrival. we are really looking forward to another stay there. This is definitely the loveliest holiday cottage we have stayed in

Even though our stay was brief we managed to spend two lovely evenings in the hot tub . We visited Llandrindod and Builth Wells which I would highly recommend . I saw my first ever Hare bounding in the field . Highly recommend .

We had a fabulous stay again. 3rd time weve been. 10 friends having a pre Xmas break. Much nicer than any Xmas party. So comfortable and well equipped. Improvements made since last year. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. Thank you Steve.

An absolutely amazing place to stay! ! I have stayed in many places previously and none of them come close to the standard of this property!! We booked the house for two nights for my mum's 70th birthday and we were truly looked after. Steve was so welcoming and could not do enough for us during our stay!! The house was immaculately clean and beautifully presented!! Everything you could need in the kitchen was there!! The hot tub was huge and the setting was fantastic to get away and enjoy!! We will definitely be coming back to stay!! Thank you Steve, you definitely made my mum's birthday one to remember!!

Honestly, we've never stayed anywhere better equipped. I brought so much stuff home because everything was provided. We're so used to having to provide our own cooking utensils, kitchen gadget, general cleaning supplies etc, but everything was there. Incredibly friendly owner, too. I'd have no issues recommending this beautiful property to anyone.

Cottage absolutely fabulous. Dcor and furnishings excellent with well equipped kitchendining area. Hot tub and covered outdoor seating area immaculate and well maintained. Many thanks to our host Steve and for the welcome pack of welsh cakes and prosecco. We would happily recommend this venue for a familyfriends get together and an ideal base for seeing the surrounding area.

An absolutely outstanding home! Friendly, helpful owners who live nearby. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly think of. It was clean, spacious and very well designed. The area is quiet and peaceful, but there are shops and pubs a short drive away. We stayed he as a family for a birthday and will definitely be back.

Fantastic place to stay. On the pricey side but the rooms were huge, its isolated, massive hot tub and lively friendly family who brought us a lot of treats!

This place is outstanding.

Lovely cottage, perfect for a group including little ones. More than enough space for everyone to enjoy and to be comfortable. Outdoor area with seating and hot tub is fully secure and a great place to relax especially in the evening. Very clean and well kept to a high standard. We were staying Royal Welsh week and it was perfect for us to be so close to showground, but to also get away from the crowds if needed.

We a family group of 9, aged between 88 and 16 had a great week in Talarddu, enjoying the comfort and space and generous facilities of the very friendly owners the hot tub was extremely popular with the younger generations! and the surroundings were so beautiful. We agreed with other reviewers that the cosy duvets are much too cosy for warmer weather, and personally I would have liked to have seen more absorbent mats by the french windows to prevent wet feet across the kitchen floor en route to the wet room! The only other suggestion we would make is that a little more info.about short walks direct from the house and off the fast main road,or nearby, suitable for the less energetic, if there are any of course, would be really helpful. The property was better than how it seemed online. It was comfortable for all 11 of us to stay in and we had a great time watching the Euros in the large living room area and then using the hot tub. Theres a number of activities to do in the area listed on the website, but I enjoyed a walk around Llandrindod Lake which I would recommend for future guests to enjoy. The owners were extremely kind as well as the local people. The owners were ready to help us with any maintenance or help needed on the property. I would love to visit again.

Thank you again for providing an extra fridge , which we suggested last year for large family groups , it was a brilliant American fridge freezer. Had a great second stay , the hot tub is great and the daily checks and changing of the water was much appreciated. A wonderful private, spacious house , which is well equipped for a great weeks holiday.

I met the owner, Steve, who was very friendly and helpful. The property looks better than in the pictures. Cupboards and drawers were well stocked. Feels secluded. 1010 would stay again!

The property was superb for a large group, very spacious bedrooms. Fully equipped we can't think of anything further we needed. The house was very clean & the welcome pack a lovely touch. The owner was very friendly & helpful and couldnt do enough for us. There was so much outdoor space and a generous hot tub which was wonderful, immaculately clean and well maintained. The most wonderful cottage weve stayed in! The place is stunning! We will sure be back again in the future couldnt fault anything! Had an amazing stay! We stayed with 6 adults a child and 2 dogs and there was more than enough room for all of us to spend time together without feeling cramped! The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly ask for and more! Its close to lots of places for all the family and I would recommend the Gigrin farm kite feeding if you stay its wonderful! Thank you for a beautiful stay.

Fabulous house! Great accommodation for our recent half term break with extended family. Everyone had a great time. The house was clean, warm and had some extra touches that didnt disappoint. Hot tub was the icing on the cake especially in the wet Welsh weather!

What a fabulous property and a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble, we were incredibly grateful for the owners generosity wonderful welcome pack amongst other things. The house is perfect for large familyfriends gatherings and the hot tub was a real hit despite the constant rain we had. There was a real sense of peace at the property and we didnt venture far due to the weather so this was crucial. Highly recommended. From the booking aspect, this was simple and easy with clear payment deadlines and sufficient information regarding directions and the access to the property.

Beautiful house, spotlessly presented. The family had a great 7 day stay over Christmas and the ten of us enjoyed all aspects of the house. The hot tub was used daily and was a highlight of the holiday. The owner was very helpful indeed and should be proud of what he and his family are offering. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful house. We were a group of 10 and we had a fantastic time. We even made a Xmas dinner there. The house is gorgeous with everything you need, comfortable beds, plenty of space and lovely touches to make it like home. The hot tub is the icing on the cake. Thank you for all your help Steve.

This is an absolutely beautiful property that has been built to a very high standard with nothing left out. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for a lovely week away. The surroundings are lovely and Steve was an excellent host and was extremely helpful. Highly recommended!!!

Just got back after an amazing week in Talarddu 22 September 8 adults and 2 children and 2 dogs in the end, the cottage is a little awkward to find only if you ignore the directions that's on the key collection email, i would suggest you have a look on google street view so you know where to turn off the main road, the cottage is amazing it has plenty of parking and sits in a very large plot and the rear area where the covered hot tub is fenced off so you can let the dogs off, the hot tub sits under cover as well as the large seating area and table, hot tub is a big one with plenty of seats, fence is about 4 feet high so a determined dog will get out, if you go through the gate there is a small stream down the bank, dogs loved it, the area is very quiet. Once inside the property you soon become aware that its been well furnished with quality items, one large lounge with plenty of seating and a large screen tv, go through the double doors at the end of the lounge and there is a little snug with 2 sofas and a tv all tvs have Sky Q boxes and the internet speed was 40Meg, head out the door into the hall there is a cupboard under the stairs with ironing board hoover ect, also in the hall is access to the wet room and toilet which we used after being in the hot tub, next door is the very large kitchen, also with a tv kitchen has all you need, plenty of utensils, plates cups glasses, access to the rear area is via either the patio doors in the kitchen or through the utility room which has washing machine, tumble dryer, sink. on the first floor there are four double bedrooms one with ensuite and a main bathroom, beds were very comfy and the views from the windows were stunning, on the next floor there are a further two double rooms and another bathroom. wooden floors throughout with the exception of the stairs which were carpeted. The owner and his wife met us about an hour of arriving just to show us the hot tub and asked if we needed anything, Steve the owner then explained he would be coming every day at about 7am to do the hot tub but that he leaves his van down the lane and walks up so he doesn't disturb us, its touches like that, that show how much the owners want you to have an excellent break. We organised 2 Tesco deliveries one for the day we got there and one on the Tuesday, first one was a bit late but not a problem at all. Two places near by, Builth wells and Llandrindod wells both very nice with cafes and pubs also there is a swimming baths in builth wells which when the children are in school is pretty much empty. We had an amazing break and met some very nice people, the local farmer Craig gave my grandson a lift on his quad and even had the air ambulance land in the garden, birds of prey gliding over property, i normally don't go back to a property, but everyone in the group has said that they'd love to go back. We loved our stay at Talarddu Cottage for a belated 30th surprise weekend. The bedrooms were beautiful and beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and very well presented. Would definitely recommend Thank you

We all loved our stay in this beautiful house. Would definitely come back again. The only one suggestion would be to have summer duvets during summer as it does get really warm in the night but other than that it was perfect for us all and the dogs.

A fantastic house in a stunning location. Landlord Steve met us on arrival and was an absolute gent, made sure all of our needs were attended to throughout our stay. We're already looking forward to our next stay, cannot recommend highly enough.
