We went to Oak Apple Cottage to recharge our batteries and came away feeling much more refreshed. The secluded location was perfect for us and we loved being right in the forest lots of wildlife around so maybe take some binoculars. The balcony was great for sitting outside, even if it was raining as it was undercover, and taking in the view. We had everything we needed but still enjoyed a walk down to Presteigne for a stroll around. It was nice to return and light the fire though

We had a fabulous family weekend at Oak Apple Cottage. It was set in the most beautiful woods and there were plenty of walks and runs for us all. We also walked into Presteigne which is a pretty village. We had a fantastic carvery at The Corners Inn Kingsland. The cottage was very well equipped with all appliances and the cottage was very comfortable from the sitting room to beds. I would highly recommend Oak Apple Cottage for a true get away from it all with a touch of luxury too. Thank you!

We have just returned from a fantastic Christmas holiday at Oak Apple Cottage and wow did it deliver. The place is stunning if your looking for complete isolation away from the tussles of everyday life this is it! Countless muddy walks with the kids in the forest, the odd encounter with people who are so friendly. Absolutely amazing we will definitely be returning and cannot recommend enough.

We had a lovely time at Oak Apple Cottage. The cottage was very cozy and it had everything you needed for a relaxing break. We loved the remote location of this property too. It had beautiful views and listening to all the birdsong in the mornings was lovely and relaxing. The garden was big too and safe for dogs to run around. We didnt let ours in the garden though because it was wet and didnt want to keep cleaning them but this garden would be beautiful in the warmer months. The owners left a lovely hamper for us which was gratefully received! We would return to this property

Lovely comfortable cottage in an amazing private location off the forest path. Spectacular views, lovely dog proof garden. Perfect for walks through the forest or into Presteigne for the pubs, restaurants and shops, watching a wide variety of birds in the valley and stargazing at night. For us the only thing that could be improved is perhaps a bigger TV and maybe some sort of hifi in the lounge. Would be a nice addition for the evenings, as it is a lovely room to relax in. Really not an issue though and already want to go back!

A very impressive 'cottage' more a detached house truly amazing outside and inside! plenty of parking space if more than one car Extremely well furnished and excellent heating of the whole house. I would not hesitate in recommending this property for a holiday. Lots of useful information on the local area supplied for your reference and a very very good welcome basket in the kitchen area on arrival. In conclusion I can only give it a maximum of eleven out of ten for everything. .

Loved our stay at Oak Apple Cottage. If you like to get away from it all then it's the perfect destination. Such an idyllic and peaceful setting. It was perfect for our 2 Labradors with the enclosed garden but they also had Nash woods for longer walks. The property was equipped with everything you could need. The property was exactly as described. Very comfortable. Very well appointed. And the views were amazing. Dogs loved the huge garden which was totally secure having 2 hunting dogs that was very important to us. Information about trips out and restaurant suggestions were great. Only downside was it was very remote so a long way from everything. Car absolutely esessential. If you love peace and quiet and no neighbours its perfect.

Wonderful cottage, just as described. Very comfortable and well equipped with spectacular views. Our dog loved the enclosed garden, as did we! It is well situated very peaceful but Presteigne with its shops and pubs, is only about a mile away. We would love to return.

The house, garden, facilities and location were perfect for us and the dogs. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The welcome goodies were so thoughtful. Even the dogs had their own treats ,towels and a with such a huge safe garden they had a ball. The weather was hot and sunny so apart from a walk to the village and a visit to Ludlow we stayed put and relaxed on the wonderful patio and balcony. Walks from our door into cool woods...perfect. The cottage and the large secure gardens for us and our two dogs was every thing that we were expecting. The kitchen is fully equipped and the essentials hamper awaiting on arrival was a lovely touch from the owners. The views and the sound of birdsong made a great setting we had a relaxing short break and will look to re book in the future. If there was anything I would say to get a few more board games and maybe cards for the ones that want to stay in. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one

Good standard of cleanliness and well equipped kitchen and utility room with plenty of crockery cutlery and utensils. Lovely position and great open space with good fencing all around which made it ideal for dog Unfortunate that water quality was uncertain and need to boil water or use bottled water was a nuisance Water pump and oil heating was quite noisy and was a little intrusive overnight particularly if anyone ran a tap or flushed toilet but we got used to it Overall probably the best holiday cottage we have stayed in and made for a very enjoyable and restful stay

Beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunning setting. Lovely woodland walks surrounded by nature, lovely little town with cafs and individual shops. We visited Hay on Wye and Ludlow and also paid a visit to the small breeds farm park mainly to see the owls. Hergest Gardens are also worth visiting.We had everything we needed in the cottage, beds were comfortable so slept well. If you're looking for a get away from it all peaceful break then you won't find better than this.

We have just returned from our week away at Oak Apple Cottage, and from us townies I would say saying here is a once in a lifetime experience. You have a key to the forestry gate and as the only car travelling down the track apart from the rare forestry vehicle you are totally secluded! Heaven! The views are breathtaking and the walks and garden are superb for dog walks. The house is extremely well equipped and warm! A lovely welcome basket on arrival was a treat. And the owner was very easy to contact even when we locked ourselves out!!! we will return.

We were very impressed with the property as we booked Oak Apple Cottage to go somewhere a bit quieter that would also be very dog friendly and we were not disapointed. The property was very warm even though the temperature outside wasn't. Our dog loved the outside space as would any dog!. The welcome hamper was a nice touch as well. Oak apple cottage was fantastic. We had a lovely family break and wanted for nothing. The cottage, beds, showers, kitchen, space to relax inside and outside as well as the location were all perfect. The welcome bundle was incredibly indulgent and gratefully received. We had some great walks in the forest, down to the village and in the local area. I cant see how you could have a bad stay here, if it wasnt already booked up wed be staying here as much as possible!

Fabulous, just fabulous! ! Absolutely loved our 4 night stay here, perfect location to get away, unwind and be amongst nature. The cottage is very spacious, with good sized bedrooms equipped with comfortable beds and lovely cosy bedding. The kitchen is superbly well stocked with everything you will need and all of really good quality which makes such a difference. The living area is very roomy with comfortable sofas and chairs with such a wonderful view across towards Presteigne, easy to see why this is upstairs rather than downstairs. The utility room is really useful, especially if you have a four legged friend that needs to dry off after a long walk, kindly equipped with a padded cushion and a jar of doggy treats
