The Sheepfold at Hill Radnor Reviews

The accommodation was spot on, beautiful cabin, the best hot tub we have ever had, everything in the cabin we needed for our Christmas dinner meal together. So quiet, comfortable and clean. Will definitely visit again.
Rebecca
Fabulous property the owner really has taken care & pride in creating these holiday properties creating a home from home. The beds were comfy with super fat pillows, spacious living area, everything needed in the kitchen, lots of garden for the dogs to run about and plenty of room to park outside the property. The only downside was the number of flies in the property which the owner advised was as a consequence of being in the countryside. We raised it immediately on arrival and the owner came to see us the following morning to apologise. We used the two tins of spray provided in the cupboard, but had to go and purchase more. This was disappointing and a pain when trying to prepare food, but this was the only negative of staying in this beautiful property.
Michelle
This is a lovely place to stay, lots of walking nearby, beautiful area. House is spacious, clean and was given a welcome package which even catered for the 2 dogs we took. Garden is secure on all sides so no worries there. Also, the beds are really, really comfy!!! Will not hesitate to return!!!
Andrew
In general nice place, mattress was uncomfy and something needs to be done about the flies
Gillian
Lovely holiday cottage felt more like a lodge. Very comfortable, especially the beds! The property has everything you need whilst away. The hot tub is an added bonus. Would definitely recommend
Thank you for such a lovley weekend. The lodge was more than what we expected, we thoroughly enjoyed our girls weekend. The little welcome pack was so thoughtful. Thank you
Neville
This being the second year we have holidayed here, nothing has changed, it is excellent, in fact it is so good we have already booked a fortnight for next year. The owners are great, nothing is to much trouble and are available to solve any problems. It is set in the country and very peaceful there but you are only 5mins by car from all facilities, supermarkets, shops etc. Looking forward to next year.
The lodge had everything we needed, it was lovely and clean, there was plenty of space, the hot tub was lovely after days out walking and the views were stunning! We would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely stay. The hot tub was an added bonus. Very dog friendly.
Rhodri
We had a great stay at Hill Radnor The Sheepfold. Smooth booking and key collection. Well equipped property, great views, great hot tub.
Joanne
A wonderful new year stay. Very relaxing, beautiful scenery and the lodge was comfortable and very well presented. The owners were extremely helpful and checked everything was ok. The little welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch and was really appreciated. Our puppy absolutely loved the enclosed garden. We would definitely recommend and we plan to come back again. Our only suggestion for improvement is that a second heater in the open plan loungediner is needed for cold winter nights as a lot of the heat escapes to the upstairs. During the day, it was very warm and cosy and it was 3 outside, just late evening it dropped colder and it would have been helpful to be able to boost the heat.
Such a stunning property in the perfect setting! Furnished to perfection with you and your furry pals every need in mind, we couldnt recommend this place more. Just idyllic. Soaking up the peaceful views in the fabulous hot tub whilst the pups chilled in the garden was a highlight for us. We enjoyed our stay so much so we made a last minute request for an extra night which the owners were able to so very kindly accommodate. Already looking at dates to return. Thank you for a fabulous stay at the amazing Hill Radnor.
We had a fantastic week at The Sheepfold. The accommodation was perfect for a family week away with our dog. It was even better than the photos and we loved it! Lots of thoughtful touches on arrival such as some bubbles to drink in the hot tub and some dog treats. Would 100 recommend staying here.
Property outstanding the owners have certainly achieved something special.
We had a fantastic stay at the Sheepfold. The accommodation was out of this world, clean, comfy, rich everything you needed and in the most peaceful setting of all. We met the owners too who are lovely people and will do anything to make you feel comfortable, they go above and beyond! The location is a good spot to make the most of travelling around Wales, its smack bang in the middle so it gives you the option to go to the North, South, East or West or you can spend the time relaxing in the local village and enjoy a nice coffee over looking the lake whilst feeding the ducks! Would recommend in a heartbeat if you're looking for a peaceful escape away in an idyllic setting. Get it booked!
Upon arrival everything looked beautiful. When entering property we found dead flies and wasps and floor needed swept. The amount of glass is great visually but made sleeping virtually impossible as no air conditioning which for a design like this property is a must. My son in law ended up sleeping in car. Flies wasps were horrific entering the property and would recommend a mesh type cover for windows and at the very least for the patio doors. On a positive note the accommodation is furnished to a high standard and well equipped. surroundings stunning, red kites flying around are majestic good sized area allocated to each of the 4 properties, well maintained and room for 3 cars per lodge. good communication throughout booking process and pre arrival hot tub immaculately clean and very good! Some things to be aware of this accommodation really is in middle of nowhere which if you want ultimate peace and quiet then will be perfect for you. we drove around and virtually everything was shut we couldnt understand this. take plenty of fans if going to be hot climate take a fly net, fly spray etc. be aware that one of the double bed rooms is open plan positioned at top of staircase so whoever sleeping here will have no privacy. one shower leading from kitchen area for the whole property no tvs in bedrooms
Lovely stay warm welcome offered by owners Our only mistake was bringing food and drink for the entire holiday, instead of buying small amounts each day to fit in the fridge. The hot tub was incredible as is the entire house. I would wholeheartedly recommend.
Neville
Hill Radnor has been an excellent find, the accomodation is above and beyond what we were expecting, everything was provided including to our surprise dishwasher and washing machine tablets. On arrival there was even a welcome package. We met the owners Eddie and Sally who could not have been more helpful asking if everything was OK, giving us some useful advice on places to visit and where to eat out. To cut a long story short we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have booked to come again next year
Graham
Positives New property Clean Comfortable beds Spacious Nice view Hot Tub Peaceful, Quiet location Negatives Grass in the enclosed garden could have been cut prior to us arriving, it was quite long on arrival and was only cut on our 2nd to last day of a week long stay We had an issue with the hot tub which the owner fixed the following day We left our fire stick in the tv. The owner was good enough to post it back to us but charged us 15 to return it post and packaging was 6 so we were charged an additional 9 for them taking it to the post office Overall an enjoyable stay I have rated the stay 35 would have been a 710 if the scoring was out of 10
Giedre
We had lovely stay here. Everything is nice. Clean is good but is still some corner need more attention. Hot tub is nice for evening relaxing. You dont hear anything what is going around this place. In house everything what you will need for stay from toilet paper to washing machine tablets is great.
Perfect for a family with two kids and a dog Plenty of things to do nearby even if the weather isnt too kind. The place is clean and fresh, and nice and private. Will definitely recommend to others!
Stuart

Hill Radnor is an absolutely beautiful property that has been built to a very high standard with nothing left out. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for a lovely week away, it was decorated for Christmas which was all that bit more special. The accommodation was very modern, comfortable and well equipped. We had a great holiday. The surroundings are lovely and Eddie and Sally were excellent hosts and were extremely helpful. Maxx and Millie loved the hot tub the most. Highly recommended!!! Thank you the best Christmas break ever, it was just perfect.
Absolutely beautiful accommodation with everything you could need. We had a lovely relaxing weekend, the kids loved the hot tub and the dog loved the fully enclosed garden. The owner popped up to checked everything was ok and if we needed anything which was lovely. We will definitely be returning.
Saddaf
Had an amazing time at The sheepfold overlooking the gorgeous views. Would highly recommend staying.
Perfect staycation! Surroundings were stunning and very peaceful. No complaints.
Clifford
The most relaxing holiday ever. When we arrived the setting of the four lodges and gorgeous view really did take our breath away. The lodge and grounds were finished to a really high standard. There were three of us in a six person lodge but even if there had been six of us there would have been generous room for comfort and relaxation. The garden is large, our dog's loved it .Also a private ample sized hot tub what you can relax in while watching the crows torment the beautiful Red kites. We had days out in the nearby villages and on a few evenings we had a very picturesque twenty minutes walk to the lovely Village pub for a gorgeous evening meal. We cannot fault anything about this place and more to the point the friendly owners couldn't do enough for us . We will definitely recommend this place and return again at some point.
Fantastic accommodation. Owners were lovely. The location is perfect such beautiful countryside and so peaceful. Not a lot to do in the surrounding area for teenagers though. Would have been nice to have a BBQfire pit area didnt want to spoil the grass. Perfect for dogs enclosed garden. Welcome pack a lovely touch our dog Joni appreciated the treats and poo bags!
Andrew
Lovely location, great views and very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was amazing, it had everything you would need for your stay and the decor was modern, light and high end. Large outdoor space for our dog and the hot tub was superb, just what we needed after a long day walking.
Stuart
We enjoyed our stay very much. Setting was very peaceful and owners very helpful. Accommodation was amazing. Would definitely stay again. Total 5 experience.
The accommodation was amazing and the view was breathtaking. I would recommend to anyone.
Great place to stay Amazing views. Really quiet. Accommodation was top notch. The little things matter. Crisps, washing machine tablet, jacuzzi towells, all were a great touch. We got 3 cars parked next to our cottage no problems. I would 100 return.
Debbie
Booking was very easy and I was given all the information I needed for our stay. The accommodation was stunning, everything was very high spec and the location was beautiful! We very much enjoyed sitting in the hottub looking out over the fields. It was very peaceful we all had a lovely time and would not hesitate to return.
Had an amazing stay in this brand new lodge, no complaints about anything and I am sure over time things will get better! A couple of minor points, I know space is limited on the mezzanine is limited but some clothes storage would be great, maybe a rail in the bathroom? Also, having a mirror near a socket somewhere would be great! Looking forward to our next stay in July!
Richard
Thank you for this lovely new place to stay. Beautiful views, smart & modern lodge. Great for local walking cafs and pubs. And great to have a hot tub! Really appreciated the helpfulness of the owners sorting a technical problem with the tub.
Absolutely stunning place and location. We all enjoyed the little hamper on arrival. I think the only thing we missed was mirrors in the bedrooms. Other than that, we had a lovely, relaxing time, and owner was friendly and there if we needed anything. We definitely come again.
