A truly lovely and peaceful place the perfect escape from the city. We spent a long weekend here and couldnt have asked for a better break. The cottage was spacious, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The quiet surroundings made it incredibly relaxing, and even our dog had an amazing time exploring and enjoying the fresh air. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing getaway!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. We have stayed at a few places in Wales and the surrounding areas and I have to say this was up there with the best. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our stay was sensational. All the facilities are as expected or better. The location is fantastic. It was easy to find although down a very small road. I would recommend this to any couple who love the countryside and peacefulness. Oh ye, and a hot tub. Just one last thing to mention..... On arrival we found freshly baked homemade brownies and some homemade strawberry jam from the owners. That's were scrumptious and very thoughtful. Also there was milk in the fridge and some bread and crisps etc in a small hamper. We will definitely be returning.

This cabin is amazing from the moment you walk through the door to the breathtaking views of the valley you can feel relaxed and comfortable. The furnishings are to a high standard as is the kitchen equipment. It is so clean could easily enter four in a bed without any worries . The owners are on hand if needed and are so friendly and accommodating. will definitely be back next year.

This property has to be seen to be believed. The location is stunning! Whether it is day or night, this is a beautiful, peaceful setting. The only noises heard are those of the birds and sheep. The night sky is equally as impressive. A must for any star gazer. The property itself is lovely. Clearly much thought has gone into the layout, decor and furnishings. It is comfortable, cosy and offers many home comforts whilst still offering those smaller touches that are often expected from a holiday let. The hot tub is ideally placed to take advantage of the stunning views and the welcome hamper of Welsh produce as well as homemade jam and brownies was an added bonus. The surrounding area is great for walking, cycling, bird watching Red Kites in particular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly look to return in the future.

The photos really dont do the cabin justice! Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the abundant welcome hamper which included extra thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit, homemade brownies and strawberry jam which were delicious. There was even a welcome hamper for our dogs! We were delighted with the location and the high standard of furnishings, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The cabin is in a stunning and peaceful location looking down the valley, we never got tired of the view. Everything is dog friendly with an enclosed garden and the hot tub an added bonus. Rachels correspondence was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Rachel really has put together beautiful accommodation and has thought of everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. Rachels husband Banty was a gentleman and equally as friendly. Whilst the cabins were set in a field of their own, they are far enough away from each other to have privacy and we felt safe and secure at the location. All in all we highly recommend Ystrad Wen for a relaxing getaway, the cabin is the best holiday accommodation that we have stayed in by far! Cant praise the cabin or Rachel and Banty enough, we will definitely be back again

The property was even better in 'real life'. Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and a welcome basket of goodies too. The peace and tranquility were like the view, never ending.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. It's set in a remote, peaceful location surrounded by lush green scenery perfect for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the freestanding bathtub in the bedroom, where you can soak while enjoying the stunning views. The outdoor hot tub was another highlight relaxing under the stars with such a gorgeous backdrop was unforgettable.The cabin itself is comfortable and tastefully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout. We especially appreciated the lovely welcome basket for us and our dogs it made us feel right at home. The whole area is quiet and serene, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Highly recommended!

Possibly the best cottage weve ever stayed in! Properly dog friendly with fenced off garden, and whilst there is an adjacent cabin also fantastic there is a good amount of space between them. Theres also dog treats and toys. Fantastic views, a tranquil setting, and a hot tub!! The cabin is really well appointed to a very high standard, the Welcome Tray is plentiful and thoughtful with some lovely little touches. Furniture is really comfortable, theres lots of helpful information available too. Its tucked away from the owners property but they are readily available should you need any help. They are also extremely helpful and friendly, nothing seems too much trouble. The whole thing has been so well thought out to ensure a perfect get away. Cant praise it enough and we will definitely be going back.

We had such a wonderful stay at Ystrad Wen! The cottage is beautifully decorated and was well equipped with everything you needed. The views overlooking the countryside were absolutely incredible a lot of wildlife spotting to be done! The bed was so comfortable and the hottub was truly the cherry on the cake! Would thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely stunning area, lovely and quiet, no traffic noise or street lights, the views from every room and hot tub were amazing, with the hot tub being covered it was great watching the weather change before you. Well equipped cabin, lovely gesture giving our dog a ball treats towel, and pooh bags, owners very friendly.

Had a fantastic few days staying here. The cabin and surroundings are stunning. A lovely welcome pack which included delicious homemade brownies and jam for us, and treats and a ball for our dog. The little extra things provided were thoughtful and much appreciated. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful and always available if needed. Wonderful views from the cabin and hot tub. Beautiful sunrises, and starry nights we were very blessed with the weather! Perfect for complete relaxation or to access the many attractions of Mid Wales. Would not hesitate to recommend and we will definitely be returning.

This place is heaven. Anything you could need is there. The view is on point watching the lambs run around is so entertaining. The welcome pack was a lovely touch as well.

Fantastic place! Property owners are lovely, the cabin is amazing and the views are to die for! We had a perfect stay here, everything was clean and comfortable. The enclosed garden is great for the dogs plenty of space for a bit of a run about as well as great walks in the surrounding area.

We stayed for my 40th, The cabin was beautiful and the location was fantastic, the welcome pack was top notch with local produce, I meet banty one of the owner, we spoke about many things and had an enjoyable conversation. i will go back in the future. I wouldn't of wanted to go anywhere else for the big 40. It's was a pleasure. Thank you.

What an impressive and outstanding location! Peace and quiet washes over you, helping you put aside the everyday cares of life. The hot tub experience and view will take you over the edge into a place of tranquility like no other place weve ever been to before. Spotlessly clean, warm, with every need attended to by the friendly and most generous hosts by way of furnishings, comfort and special treats as a welcome pack to get your focus for peace and calm started. Would very highly recommend!

Nice cabin, with everything you need, the extra thought and touches by the owners made all the difference. In a great rural location with spectacular views down the valley. We stayed over Christmas and the generous, friendly owners had provided festive touches to the cabin and a really nice welcome hamper pack. If your feeling fit take the dog on a lung bursting walk up onto the common. We will recommend to family and friends.

The owners went out of their way to make our stay totally unforgettable. It was my wife's birthday on the day we arrived and the owners had left a beautiful bouquet of flowers and bottle of wine along with a birthday card for her. We decided to have a stroll down to the 'local pub' highly recommended and Banty even offered to give us a lift back later in the day. We highly recommend staying here and we will certainly be back. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

If you're considering booking this cabin, do it! The cabin is gorgeous and the location is amazing! The real difference with Ystrad Wen is the attention to detail. Rachel hasn't overlooked anything when presenting this beautiful holiday cabin. Welcome basket on arrival for us and the dogs was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Won't go in to too much detail regarding the extra touches as to not spoil the delightful of realising how much careful thought went in to it. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants the perfect relaxing break. I would also suggest to anyone who does book to consider a day out around Elan Valley, stunning views of the dams and then lunch in Rhayader.

Had a lovely stay in the cabin and in the Welsh countryside. Myself and my other half were impressed with everything. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was the one of the best weve used. Lovely walking area. Would stay here again.

Ystrad Wen is probably the best holiday property that we have rented and despite the inclement weather we had a very enjoyable stay. The cabin a description that understates the level of accommodation was of the highest standard with everything thoughtfully provided. The location afforded the most fantastic views and the comfort and cleanliness of the property means that we look forward to returning.

Had a wonderful stay at Ystrad Wen. There was a lovely welcome basket upon arriving, both for us and the dog. The cabin was really nicely kept and very clean throughout. There was also a welcome folder full of information regarding the property and local area, including places to eat and activities near by etc. It was very secluded and private with gorgeous views. Rachel and Banty were easy to get in touch with for anything we needed. We would definitely return! Thank you both for the great staygetaway!

The place is just amazing. The thought thats has been put to to this place is top class. They cater for your every need. Very friendly!! Great place to bring your dog. Our dog loved it!!!

Fantastic, well equipped cabin with plenty of space. Beautiful setting, peaceful and secluded. Only the sounds of the sheep and nature. Rachel and Banty are very attentive hosts, willing to provide any assistance and local tips. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will be booking again!

We have loved our stay at Ystrad Wen! Everything from the luxurious cabin and hot tub to the wonderful views and hill walks has made for a peaceful and relaxing week away. For days out, we recommend the Elan Valley for walks and scenery, as well as the amazing spectacle of the Red Kite feeding. We really hope to visit again in the future!
