2 Penporth Reviews

We had a wonderful few days at 2 Penporth. The location of the cottage is fantastic Rhayader is a beautiful place with lots of places to visit on the doorstep and some great pubs for drinks and food. The Elan valley is literally up the road and is absolutely stunning. The cottage itself was perfect. It was warm and comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was everything you could need for a self catering holiday everything had been well thought out. The owner was excellent! We had brilliant communication from her before, during and after our stay and she even left us some treats at the cottage. We particularly loved the real fire, it was so cosy. The parking was very good as it was undercover. We didnt use the garden, as the weather wasn't good enough but it looked great for a summer's night relaxing with some food and drink. We would definitely book again.
A lovely place to stay. Everything was beautifully clean. It is a very well equipped cottage and Elaine was a pleasure to deal with too. Could not be better.

We had a lovely stay at Penporth 2. The property is very well presented with everything you need including off road parking. Shops, pubs and takeaways are a short walk away. As a base for exploring this part of Wales it is ideal. Good communication with Elaine, the owner.
The cottage is beautiful and its got everything you need. Got to meet elaine the owner she was lovely. Me and my partner have had a lovely relaxing holiday and will be definitely be coming back. Thank you jane and tony
Stephanie
This was our second stay at this lovely cottage, its spotlessly clean and in a really handy location with local amenities round the corner. We managed to sit up on the deck this time and its a perfect spot for an evening drink!
Eccellente in every way.
Beautifully maintained. Very good central location in Rhayader, right on the edge of the Elan valley. It is in walking distance from the towns shops etc. The cottage is very fresh and modern in its decor and has an up to date kitchen and appliances. The outside area is brilliant with good off road parking available. The raised garden above it was a seclude oasis . Plus you could sit and photograph the red kites that were flying overhead.
Lovely property we enjoyed our stay !
What a lovely cottage. It was spotless, comfortable and homely. Elaine was very helpful and an excellent host. We hope to return in the future

We really enjoyed our stay. 2 penporth is extremely well equipped and comfortable, and quiet, which was a surprise in the middle of a small town. Elaine communicated well, and checked we had everything we needed on arrival by text! We never met. The house tends naturally to being cold but warms up very quickly, the heating is efficient and under our control. COMFORTABLE beds! The shower is slightly awkward because it is over the head of the bath rather than the foot so it's not easy to get under the flow, but other than that the house us very well thought out. Very close to the Riverside walks which was a bonus. Recommendations for shops and places to eat were well chosen and accurate. Rhayader is a pleasant small town, with a good array of shops, and ideally placed for what we were planning. We would stay at 2 penporth again.
Lovely cozy cottage in a great location. Excellent place for walking
A superb property very conveniently situated just a two minute walk to the centre of Rhayader. We will be back soon!
Excellent experience. Have left a review on Vrbo. Happy for that review to be copied here once it is up on the Vrbo site.
A beautiful well presented cottage in the heart of Rhayader. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage is kept to a very clean high standard and comes equipped with everything that you will need to enjoy your holiday. We loved the log burner with the logs and kindling that were provided. The towels are lovely and fluffy and the bedding so crisp and fresh. The private parking undercover was ideal. Thank you Elaine, we will be back!
Valerie
Refresh and comfort yourself in this beautiful property. The care shown by the owner shines through in all the detail. You will get a genuine welcome when you stay here
Elaine
Lovely, cosy and clean cottage with everything we needed. Nice and quiet in good location for eating out. We loved the log fire, walked the local area, hired bikes to ride around Elan Valley and drove out to walk around some good waterfalls. Would recommend this home if anyone was looking to stay in this area. Good communication from owner Elaine. Thank you we loved it.
Derrick
We went to the winter fair in Builth Wells so decided to find a cottage for a few days to see what the local area had to offer and we were very pleasantly surprised, enough to go again sometime in the future. Lovely comfortable cottage in a great little town with lots to see locally, very enjoyable. Thank you
Such a lovely cottage. Very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Under cover parking facilities were great and although we didn't use the garden area due to the time of year, am sure it would be a great area in warmer weather. The location was quiet and only a short walk into the main shopping area, coffee shops and eateries. Would definitely like to return at some point.
Stephanie
Beautiful cottage which was spotlessly clean, the welcome pack was a lovely thought we found the owners really helpful. The cottage is really well equipped and we had a great stay here, wouldnt hesitate to recommend!
Steven
Great facilities, lovely and clean, ideally placed for what we wanted. Nice to have a welcome pack and information pack. Huge garden which was a sun trap. Great for a glass of wine and a read of a good book.
Everything was excellent. Decoration, cleanliness, fully equipped. Can't fault anything. Welcome pack was a nice thought. Ideal location in the town and to The Elan valley. We really enjoyed our stay.
The property was perfect, nice welcome pack, nice and clean, close to pubs and places to eat. A basket of logs was well received, the garden area was perfect for a relaxing afternoon in the sun after a day walking. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Will stop again.
