Little Oakleigh Reviews

Pieter
Lovely little cottage and very clean
Really disappointed with our stay. No enough bin bags for a week. The smaller shower height adjuster was broken so had no choice which was poor as it is a simple fix. No instruction on what to do with our rubbish. No instruction on what to do with our towels and linen. The tv was awful, you couldn't turn the volume up any higher than a whisper without it becoming robotic and the placement is awful. The mirrors were placed for someone tall, being short myself I had to stand on the bed to see half my body which again is poor for a rental accommodation. The neighbouring house Oakleigh was ridiculously loud and someone parked extremely close to the house beeped their car horn at 7.30 which woke me up. Not considerate at all for guests. Will not be returning

Relaxing stay, very clean and comfortable. Good base to explore North and Mid Wales. Thank you.

While Oakleigh was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The only problem was the television which was unwatchable. I left a message for the owners at the start of the week but nothing was done, nor did they come and apologise or explain what the problem was. For this reason we will not be returning to Oakleigh in the future.
It's a very clean and lovely property, everything I needed was there, ideally placed. There was a lovely cake waiting for me on arrival thankyou so much. Will use again
Fabulous stay & a perfect location for finishing off the last 25ish miles of the Offa's Dyke Path between Brompton & Llanymynech Hill & Golf Course with both the path & Bus Stop being literally 2 minutes walk away. The homemade Barabrith was amazing & very much appreciated...
Susanne
Top of the Pops. Super nice owners and perfect cottage. Thanks for a great week . Hope to visit again.
Amijane
Loved our stay, it was so cosy clean and welcoming, it had everything you needed toilet roll, clean bedding , cooking utensils, cleaning products. Even though it sleeps 34 people i would say it is more for 2 adults. It could do with saying where to put your rubbish as there was no dustbin outside the house we was here for almost a week with only a tiny bin in the cupboard. I would also add that places to visit and where abouts they are as recommendations would also be very good to add. We was a family of 3 with a 10 year old and every night was googling where to go what do to. First time in wales as a little get away before our baby is due. We did leave two days earlier than expected due to myself being unwell. But above all that it was lovely thank you for having us in your little cottage home. Amie
Tracey
A stunning little place, definately not big enough for 4 though. Attention to detail was spot on. Home made cake greeted us on arrival which was delicious thankyou so much as well as 2 Easter eggs only criticism is the glass shelf above sink in bathroom.one of us suffered a nasty cut after hitting head on it whilst washing face. Lovely location. Had some lovely local walks. Lovely pub just down the road. On the whole a gorgeous bank holiday weekend. Thanyou for having us.
Alison
We had a lovely, relaxing time at this beautiful apartment with home made cake waiting for us on arrival. Thank you so much.

A lovely clean and comfortable cottage just nice for two every thing was spotless did not like the cutlery as there was no butter knife and l found the knives awkward to use other that we had a lovely enjoyable stay and the cake was a lovely touch thank you again
An ideal place for me to visit my family. The property is excellent if a little small. A lack of storage would be my only observation it was fine for just me but I feel would be a problem with any more people. But putting that to one side I would definitely visit again.
Firoza
Lovely little cottage, out in the middle of nowhere! Peace & quiet was just what we needed, the back garden isn't even overlooked great location! Very clean, lovely welcome pack, great communication with owners highly recommended. Wouldn't really say it's suited to 4 people, but perfect for 2
The garage conversion is small. Luckily for 4 of the 5 nights it was only me. A few essentials missing for my needs which I left a note detailing to the owners. A lovely location 15 mins from the RJAH hospital which madevisiting easy. It was clean but oddly I slept on the mattress protector and not a sheet which I found out only once I stripped the bed. Don't let this review put you off but be aware it is small with no washing machine or dish washer.
Lovely well equipped accommodation. Location for both Wales and Shropshire is very good. Pleasant owners. Would definitely stay again.
Walter
Very clean and well maintained, but would be a squeeze for four.
This was a perfect place for me to stay. The property was lovely and had everything I needed. The owners were great and the fruit loaf that was made for when I got there was delightful. On the whole, I loved every minute of my stay. Thankyou.
Tracey
Great relaxing break & lovely homemade cake from the hosts.
Cottage was lovely and well equipped, really appreciated the home made cake. Being only 4 ft 9 a long mirror in the bedroom and a fold up step stool would have been handy as I had difficulty reaching things. Advertised as sleeps 4, it seemed a bit small for 4 adults in my opinion, that said we had a great stay there.
Excellent base for exploring Wales. Comfortable and clean with everything you need.
A great place to stay and this was our second time. Perfect for us and the owners are wonderful. Will definitely be back for another visit.
Perfect place for our stay and peaceful location. The accommodation is exactly as the pictures show and we would definitely stay there again.
Good base for exploring the area. Cottage as expected but would have been useful to have some info about local area ie eating recommendations, local walks & places of interest & recycling info for refuse at cottage.
Stuart
Really well appointed accommodation. Very good condition, located perfectly for our needs.
Great place to stay, easy access to both shorpshire and Wales, lots of parking for the motorbike, trailer and car. It was a lovely week brake
Nicola
This is a new holiday let and spotlessly clean. Ideal for a couple or small family as a base to explore the area from. Very quite village and just 5mins from the main road with access to many areas of North and Mid Wales.
Its a lovely cottage. But not sure if its for 4 people. I would say perfect for 2 ppl as the rooms are too small. No place for kids to play and also to keep luggage if you are there for a week and it would be good to have clear information regarding whats available on the page. For ex it does not mention that there is no dish washer, washing machine, no soaps or hand wash etc.. but for sure a nice cottage
This cottage is very modern, clean and well kept. The hosts were lovely and ensured we had a relaxed stay. Would recommend for a couple looking for a small, peaceful cottage and a relaxed getaway.
