Relaxing, home from home. Welcoming hosts with homemade welcome cake on arrival - lovely touch.. we loved the hot tub especially watching sunsets from there.

We had a lovely family holiday here, everything we needed was provided and the cake on arrival was delicious. We are a family with older teens and they loved the hot tub and the quite apart from the sheep which were lovely to see and hear. There was plenty to do as we spent days at the beach and a visit to the Royal Welsh show. The owners were there if we ever needed them. It was a perfect holiday.

We had a fabulous, quiet and relaxing stay at Y Ddwern. It was quaint, away from it all and in a perfect location if you want peace and quiet like we did. The cottage had everything we needed and the cake on arrival was delicious and a lovely surprise. The hot tub was so welcome and the views were incredible with the sheep often coming up to say hi. It was just as lovely to relax there during the day and at night under the stars, weather permitting. Our young son loved the area, seeing the birds and the animals and he really enjoyed the open space and it was great to have an enclosed garden for our dog to wander around too. Mr and Mrs Evans were lovely, they left us alone but were there if we needed them. We spent lots of time out exploring from local walks, world heritage sites, castles, halls and gardens, to Aberswyth on the coast, to rivers, dams and waterfalls. We live to explore and were prepared to drive out to locations but there are lots of walks around the farm too if you don't want to go too far. We would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely be returning another time.
