Ysgubor Newydd is a medieval cottage in Machynlleth, Mid Wales, sitting in the heart of the Dyfi Valley. This is a genuinely old building a real urban medieval dwelling with original features still intact. No hot tub here, but the inglenook fireplaces and dramatic beams more than make up for it. Machynlleth is a proper Welsh market town. The River Dyfi is just 0.3 miles away offering brown trout, salmon and sea trout fishing. Aberdyfi beach is 10 miles out with sailing and canoeing available. Britain's oldest street market runs every Wednesday right in town.
