This is my second time I have stayed here and I have enjoyed it as much as the first. We even had blues skies and sunny days this year. The views are incredible, the location is perfect and the peace and quiet are bliss! The cottage is exactly the same and is perfect for our biking and walking holiday. Its cozy, warm and comfortable and perfect for relaxing after an adventurous day. I already miss being there, but I will definitely be booking again in the future.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Ty Twmp cottage. The location is just perfect, putting you within easy reach of Crickhowell and the stunning local waterfalls. The views from the cottage were truly spectacular, and my children thoroughly enjoyed taking in the scenery every single morning right from the doorstep. To our pleasant surprise, the cottage also seemed recently renovated with fresh new flooring and new doors, which made the space feel wonderful, though the online photos should definitely be updated to reflect how lovely these modern updates are. Just spectacular overall, and we couldn't have asked for a better base for our family getaway.

I took my elderly dad away for a few days and we loved it here. The property is close to TalybontonUsk and surrounded by countryside, looking down towards the River Usk, with the Black Mountains in the distance. The views from the conservatory and patio are simply stunning.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable with phenomenal views! The location was peaceful, restful and quiet. We very much enjoyed our time there and would be very happy to return one day. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, but there was no dishcloth of tea towel to dry dishes, which we thought was odd. The bathroom could use a bit of scrubbing on the tub surround as there seemed to be some staining. All in all though, the cottage was wonderful.

This is the second time we have stayed at Ty Tymp and we love it here so much we have decided to move to the area! The cottage is in a beautiful spot in a beautiful village, peace and quiet, endless valley views, all the walking you could want and so much wildlife. Ty Tymp could do with updating a little, in particular the kitchen as not much worktopstorage space but it has such a warm homely feel to it. The conservatory and views from there make it very special, which is where we spent most of our time watching the antics of the natural world! Thank You for the leftover bird seed

An absolutely gorgeous spot to spend a couple of days with my teens. Surrounded by nature, sheep & mountain views from so many windows, with gorgeous spring weather, exactly what was needed. The cottage was an interesting mix of old & new styles, the kitchen & bathroom took me back to my childhood while lounge & bedrooms quite modern & comfortable. Some minor maintenance rather than wholesale refurb please bath seal mould just like I struggle with at home. Bathroom door handle & a few other minor screws fixes kitchen door hinges, no need to replace doors Great value, much appreciated

My friends and I stayed at Tump Cottage for a few nights and we were very satisfied. It was easy to find, access was simple, but more importantly, the views were incredible. Nestled on a hill side overlooking the River Usk with a conservatory to look out of and gaze at the stars. The cottage was lovely and cozy, plenty of space for us to relax in the evenings. We had everything we needed for our stay, incl some delicious Welsh cakes, kindly left for us by the owner. There was plenty of books and leaflets about the surrounding area for us to read and use if required. We all agreed the cottage was perfect and would love to book again in the future. A stunning cottage in a perfect location with all you would need for a short or long visit. My friends and I group of six stayed here for a little staycation. The location is perfect, situated right next to Brecon Beacons, allowing us to easily drive to Penyfan and the the Four Falls trail. The host also had an exceptional selection of movies to chose from we chose Inception! to keep us entertained. Though we didn't use it, there were also some board games at the cottage, which I think is a great addition. The only bit of constructive feedback I'd give and this is a very small point is that it would be nice if the TV was bigger but at the end of the day we chose this cottage to enjoy the nature surrounding it!

The cottage was almost perfect, the view over the valley, location. Confortable, private, breakfast in the conserfatory, fast wifi, beds, etc. Only the hollow road for acces, limited us for easely going out. Highly recommended for a weeks over.

The cottage was very good and the views spectacular. Only thing is it should be stated is that the access is up a very steep and narrow road. The toilet seat needs looked at it kept coming loose. The extractor fan in the toilet was noisy after a few minutes.

The conservatory with views east over the valley was especially appreciated, and the lawn in the garden. We also were very glad that the cottage stayed cool during some very hot days! A great area for walking the Taff trail, the 'Alt', the walks from the top of the reservoirs up the valleys towards Pen y Fan etc. Talybont a nice little town, useful post officecafeshop and the Star Inn did very good meals.

We really enjoyed the stay, great remote location up a steep hill from the village with a couple of pubs. Some of the furniture is a little dated but it's warm, clean, comfortable and has a decent shower, and as its an outdoor activities location which is frequently wet and muddy you do not really want to stay in a 'showhome'. The only bugbears were no dishwasher I loathe washing up each time! and no outside tap for washing muddy things down. Will we return highly likely.

The cottage is in a superb location, very calm and quiet place, excellent view. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The owner and maintenance service were very easy to communicate. Amazing views from the cottage, really good base to explore the beacons, all toiletries,kitchen utensils fully stocked great maps and books about the area available. Just a few minor issues which can take it to outstanding, no headboards on a few beds and the bunk creaked alot. Overall would not hesitate too book again. Thankyou for the lovely stay.
