Tan Y Capel Reviews

Lianne
Tan Y Capel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The cottage had everything we could possibly need during our stay and was situated in the most beautiful location. The locals were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this property. We loved every minute and was not ready to go home.
A wellappointed comfy spacious nicely modernised village house situated just below the historic Bont Chapel and above the Afon Twymyn in a super location with great walks from the door. The area has a fascinating social history and there are some amazing sites closeby for example the views from the Wynford VaughanThomas memorial across towards Machynlleth, the descent down Llwbr y Ceirw into the Forest of Dreams commune both near Dylife and the Clywedog Dam and lead mine. Well worth the trip.
George

TanCapel is a very wellequpipped, clean and spacious cottage in a quiet location in a small village not too far from roads leading to much of central midWales. The owner was really friendly and helpful and we settled in quickly for a very enjoyable break. Thanks.
Anthony
Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Surrounded by fields. Cottage was very well equipped, kitchen had everything you would need with family dining area. Cozy lounge with wood fire, basket of logs supplied. Comfortable beds and great shower. Lovely seating area in the garden, fully enclosed, great for our dog to explore. Good location for exploring Snowdonia.
Daniel
Fantastic property with excellent facilities. A lovely base to explore the surrounding areas. Perfect for our dog and little one. Really enjoyed our stay and great host.
Beautifully kept cottage, in a very quiet picturesque setting. The bedrooms are spacious, and there is plenty of room to sit and watch tv in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with all that's needed for cooking and there is a goodsized seating area from which to eat meals. The gardens back and front are secure, and the ability exists straight out the rear of the garden to take a walk across the fields to the next tiny village. It is a great base from which to explore this part of Wales.
A lovely property in a stunning location. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. A Perfect stay with so much to see and explore.
Selina

Lovely property with all of the facilities that we needed. Very clean. Good to meet and talk to Brychan stones of great interest to us all. Other locals were very friendly. Facilities were good for our dog with the enclosed garden, and field behind. Pleasant local walks and within driving distance of lots of other attractions. With a good standard of modernisation it was warm with plenty of hot water and a good heating system. Internet connection good. Would have no hesitation in coming back again, or recommending to others.

Fabulous location, fabulous house, an effortless country stay. We had a great stay, the inside space was as great as the outside which the kids loved. Walks were a short drive away. You felt away from it all but also a drive away from all the attractions and online shopping was perfect. Highly, highly recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at TanyCapel. The location is idyllic, peaceful and quiet. A lovely place to stay to destress and get away from the hum drum of life. TanyCapel is a lovely cottage very clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has a large tiered secure garden which offers a safe environment for your dog to wanderexplore freely. There is the added bonus of a lovely walk through the fields and woodland direct from the rear of the property. Diolch yn fawr Brychan am y croeso ar sgwrs hir phan cwrddo'n ni a chi. A great place to base ourselves for a weekend on our bikes. Lovely roads and scenery nearby and the house was clean, comfortable and quiet. Off road parking was handy. There's a few options for local shops a short drive away
Rebecca
We had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend Tan Y Capel. The property was spotless and the most well equipped cottage we have stayed in. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The garden is also lovely, which my children and dog enjoyed. The cottage is perfect for a family break. It is also in a beautiful area with walks right out the door. We travelled round, but it's an ideal location with so many lovely places just a short, scenic drive away. We like to go to different places but won't hesitate to return here again in the future.
Rhiannon
A really lovely incredibly well equipped cottage, with an amazing disco shower! Plentiful supply of logs for the woodburner, which was great in the cooler evenings. Well placed in that we were easily able to travel and visit a lot of places. Good local walks, and many tea rooms with lots of good cake.
Had a fabulous stay at Tan Y Capel, everything you need for a very comfortable holiday. The cottage was clean and spacious. Our host left us some Welsh cakes and milk which was very welcome and he even called round to see us after we arrived. Close to Aberdovey which has a lovely beach where we took our dog, other beaches not far away too, plus woodland walks which we loved. Lots of places to visit, we stayed for 2 weeks and didnt run out of things to do even in wet weather. Would highly recommend Tan Y Capel for a holiday.
Joanne
A beautiful cottage, very well equipped and very clean. There are various local walks from the door and the village itself is quiet and peaceful. The owner popped around to check everything was ok for us and left us some milk and Welsh cakes which was thoughtful. Our dog enjoyed the secure garden and it was nice to wake up to the sound of birdsong. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A delightful, comfortable cottage refurbished and maintained to a very high standard in a quiet, unspoilt village.
Philip
A warm and cosy cottage in a beautiful area. Comfortable kitchen and dining area. Great log burning stove in sitting room with multiple sofas. Magnificent walk in shower complete with coloured lighting effect! Friendly owner. Good local walks.
Michelle
Had a wonderful week at Tan Y Capel. The cottage is in a beautiful location, within easy reach of many places to visit. Immaculately kept and everything you need for an enjoyable home from home stay. The complimentary logs were very welcome on our first night, as were the milk and welshcakes very thoughtful. The enclosed garden was brilliant for the dogs. Owner was on hand if needed as lives close by. Would highly recommend.
The property was lovely, clean with all the amenities you'd need including a cafetiere, always a bonus for us! Lovely surroundings & a great base for walks. I loved looking over at the Welsh hills each morning and hearing the bubbling brook. It was idyllic.
Excellent cottage everything you need for a stay away from home. Highly recommend.
Tan y Capel is a beautifully renovated cottage in a pretty hamlet where peace and quiet are plentiful with milk in the fridge, teacoffee and Welsh cakes awaiting. Weve had a lovely time with our dog exploring many new areas of beautiful mid & north Wales which is surrounded by stunning scenery. We had organised a Morrisons delivery before we left which arrived with no problems and by a really friendly driver. The owner of the property Brychan popped by to meet us and as hes local, hes on hand for any issues. Would definitely recommend and will return to the lovely property.
Cottage was very well equipped and comfortable for our weeks stay. Lovely garden, which we made the most off as we had the best weather so far this year. Cottage and area highly recommended, we would like to stay again. Owner very helpful.
