Ty Hir at Blaenbrynich Farm Reviews

The location directions were misleading hence it took over an hour to find the property. The accommodation was basic as reflected in the price so no surprises there. Beautiful setting and in easy reach of interesting sites. My wife is disabled so the steep stairs were difficult to use to reach the bedroom and toilet facilities.
Christopher
We had an excellent day and a big thank you to all who worked behind the scenes to maintain this wonderful facility. Living in the city one seldom appreciates all the work that goes into our nations farms. Thanks for that insight. This place is also ideally situated to enjoy the towns of Brecon, Hay on Wye and Sennybridge. The walks in the general area are also fantastic.
Tracey
What a beautiful place. Stayed for 1 week and enjoyed every minute. Location a little of the beaten track but that's great. All you could hear was the sheep. And the views from the bedroom window was stunning. The owners were really friendly and accommodating. The bothy was missing cleaning equipment but I was provided with a mop and bucket. A vacuum would have been great just to tidy up a little.. but this place is a really beautiful peaceful tranquil part of the world. Keep up the good work and thank you very much.
Sheila
Lovely Bothy in an excellent location for Brecon and the surrounding area. Had an enjoyable peaceful break with plenty of walking and reading. Had everything we needed for a short break and the views were spectacular.
Fabulous bothy. Loved the location straight onto footpaths. Comfy bedrooms and lounge. Kitchen is basic but perfectly adequate. Keep it rustic! We had a fabulous weekend. Thanks
Everything was very nice but we thought it would be better if the small bedroom was used as a living room and the living room made into a box bedroom. We thought the kitchen layout was ingenious with everything we needed. The heating and hot water were excellent. We loved the little bench outside for our morning coffee and evening tea. Altogether a lovely stay. Thankyou
We had a lovely stay in this cosy warm bothy. Perfect location for hiking in Brecon car essential. The bothy is currently under renovation improvements as recently inherited but ideal for what we needed 2adults and 2children. The children loved the access to the tennis court. This was their highlight of the bothy.
Robina
Enjoyed our stay, very quirky but in a nice way, lovely comfortable bed!
Charlotte
Really lovely weekend away very quiet. Good dog walks around the area and a big field behind the cottage. Would have preferred a small sofa than the tub chairs but it wasnt a big deal. The dog towels was a very nice addition as Saturday was very wet and the towels we brought werent enough. Really liked the ensuites so there was some privacy. Thank you for a restful visit, hope to come back soon.
We loved our stay in this Bothy. It was so warm and well equipped. As our stay was only adults, filling the daytimes with outdoor activities. We would have preferred a comfy little sofa and a larger tv to relax in the sitting room. The table was pointless for adults as not enough room. The breakfast bar and stalls were a great addition to the kitchen. The cooking ring was so fast, loved it and the combination microwave was great, all really easy to clean. As we had dogs, a little fence just securing the tarmac yard with a gate would have been great to just let the dogs & us relax a bit more with back door open to enjoy the beautiful view. All that said we had a fantastic stay, thank you so much.

We feel the advert overlooks noticeable drawbacks to this accommodation. Anyone booking this needs to be aware that it would not be comfortable accommodation for 4 people due to limitations regarding the kitchen and sitting area. The kitchen is limited by not having an actual cooker, restricted work surfaces, no cupboards and minimal space. Likewise the sitting area is very small and not comfortable there is no room for a small sofa and instead there are 2 tub chairs but there is not room for them to be placed next to each other. The TV is extremely small and the DVD part of the TV is broken. We feel the accommodation Is best suited to those who will be out most of the time.

We had such a great time at the Bothy. It was perfect for what we wanted and we would happily return.
This is a sweet little place to stay. I would like to know more about its history as a Shepherd's Bothy. The decor is quite modern and we thought rustic would be more inkeeping with the building. The kitchen is basic and functional I can imagine coming in from lambing for a bowl of soup! The dining TV room is fine for two, but possibly tight for 4? Apart from the dvd player not working on the TV, we were cosy watching television. The beds were warm and comfortable. Perfect base for a walking holiday. Thank you
2nd time at this cottage. Its perfect for us with 1 child 2 dogs. Great location to so many things to do. Peaceful.
Lovely property with loads of character and in a beautiful location. Would definitely book again
